Happy Reunion with CMA CGM

CMA CGM is offering more Reunion Island services as it positions the French department to be its hub in the Indian Ocean. CMA CGM presented its new strengthened services offer linking the Reunion Island during the inauguration of the Group’s new offices, on Tuesday 26th January. The event took place the day before the inauguration of the New Port Reunion. The Reunion Island now becomes CMA CGM Group’s maritime hub in the Indian Ocean. CMA CGM positions the Reunion Island as a strategic hub in the Indian Ocean: by offering 5 weekly calls compared to 3 previously, the Group links Reunion Island with Europe, Australia, Asia, India, East Africa, West Africa and South Africa. The weekly NEMO service now allows direct links between Europe, the Reunion Island and Australia.

CMA CGM Upgrades Asia - E.Africa Service

CMA CGM to improve its ASEA service between Asia and East Africa with the launching of ASEA Kenya and ASEA Tanzania. The CMA CGM Group’s Asia-East Africa (ASEA) service upgrade is scheduled to begin December 2014 with the launch of two new services. ASEA Kenya and ASEA Tanzania, will now accompany East African markets’ growth and replace the ASEA one single service, reducing transit times from Asia and improving reliability, the company said. CMA CGM intermodal and logistics solutions will connect African land-locked countries to Asia.

CMA CGM Strengthens Madagascar Presence

Since the creation of CMA CGM Madagascar in 2003, container shipping company CMA CGM Group has continued to develop on the island to move closer to its valued customers and partners and meet economic growth forecasts in the Malagasy industrial market, the company said. The CMA CGM Group announced today it will open two news agencies in Toliara (Tuléar) and Antsiranana (Diego Suarez), bringing its presence in Madagascar to eight offices, of which five owned by the group. CMA CGM Launches New Feeder Line

The CMA CGM Group is expanding its service opportunities in Southern Africa with the launch of the new Rhino Express feeder. The Rhino Express reinforces the Group’s service to Mozambique through an extended coverage of five ports in Mozambique, including two new ports: Quelimane and Pemba, the development of cabotage in Mozambique, a better transit time from India, Middle East, Europe and South America East Coast to Maputo and Beira, and direct connection between Mozambique and Durban. This feeder comes in addition of CMA CGM Mozex and Mascareignes Lines, which already called in Mozambique.

CMA CGM Reshuffles ASIA-South Africa and Mozambique Services

CMA CGM announced the reshuffling of its services on the ASIA-South Africa and Mozambique trades in partnership with Maersk Line (ML). •    New SHAKA2: A service jointly operated by CMA CGM and Maersk Line with 8 vessels of 6,500Teus. The rotation includes: Shanghai, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Louis, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Ngqura, Port Louis, Singapore, Nansha New Port. •    New MOZEX2: A service jointly operated by CMA CGM and MAERSK Line with 7 vessels of 2,200Teus. The rotation will include Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Pointe Des Galets, Toamasina, Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Port Louis. These two new services will replace the current Shaka and Mozex services operated by CMA CGM.
