NAPA Brings Digital Logbooks Within Reach of More Ships

NAPA, the maritime software, services and data analysis provider announced that its industry-benchmark electronic logbook, NAPA Logbook, is now available as a monthly service solution.According to media release, this reduced barrier to entry will bring the connectivity and job automation benefits of digital logbooks to more of the maritime market. NAPA Logbook will also be one of the first integrations with NAPA Mobile, enabling support for smartphone logbook entries wherever the crew are onboard.As the world’s leading provider of electronic logbooks, NAPA Logbook has more than a decade’s service on board vessels serving more than 8,000 users and is approved by more than 20 major flag states, including the Bahamas, Marshall Islands, Panama, Malta and Singapore.

MRV Made Easy: NAPA Updates Performance Monitoring System

Maritime software, services and data analysis provider NAPA said it has updated its performance monitoring and reporting systems to enable simple, straightforward compliance with EU Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) legislation. Users of NAPA Shipping Solutions, ClassNK-NAPA GREEN and NAPA-DSME Power can easily generate MRV reports and include their performance monitoring software as their data collection method in the monitoring plan due on August 31, 2017. Holland America Line Selects the NAPA

Helsinki, Finland 22 March 2011 - Onboard-Napa Ltd, the leading software house for ship operations, has signed an agreement with Holland America Lin. Onboard-Napa will deliver a solution of NAPA Voyage Reporting and NAPA Electronic Logbook together with NAPA Office reporting portal for Holland America Line's 15 ships. NAPA Voyage Reporting is designed to be a fleet-wide reporting tool, thus enabling ship comparison, for instance energy efficiency, fuel consumption and water production/consumption.

NAPA Power for Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), based in Miami, has completed the fleet installation of the NAPA Power fuel economy system developed by Onboard-Napa Ltd. At NCL, initial piloting of NAPA Power yielded such positive results that the company decided to expand the use of NAPA Power throughout its fleet in order to maximize the benefits. The system is installed with the Speed Pilot module, which allows automatic control of optimized speed. Precise speed control enables maximized savings and reduces the workload on the bridge. NAPA Power system assists the Master in planning and executing voyages, the aim being to reach the destination on time at the lowest possible cost.
