Nauta Launches Danish Fishing Trawler

Polish shipyard Nauta Shiprepair Yard launched a partially outfitted fishing vessel for the Dannish client Karstensens Skibsvaerft AS on March 31. Once completed, the new trawler M/V Aine will operate in thw North Sea for its final owner Aine Fishing Company Ltd from Ireland. Like other units of this type, Aine will be equipped with tanks for transporting live fish and modern technical solutions and fishing devices. The vessel’s maximum speed will be 15 knots. Pelagic trawlers use a method of fishing that involves pulling trawl through the water.

New Trawler Launched in Poland

A launching ceremony for the partly outfitted fishing trawler M/V Voyager took place February 21 at Newbuilding Division of Nauta Shiprepair Yard in Gdańsk, Poland. It will be one of the most powerful fishing vessels in its class. Voyager is 86.4 m long and 17.8 m wide. The loading capacity is more than 3,200 cubic meters. The trawler will be fishing in the North Atlantic, the area known for its challenging weather. It is precisely for this reason why the ship must have a high power - propulsion system delivering 120 ton bollard pull.

Nauta Yard Cuts First Steel for Trawler Newbuild

Newbuilding Department of Nauta Shipyard has begun construction of fully equipped fishing vessel - Ocean Star with a steel cutting ceremony held on April 26. The ceremony was attended by representatives of shipowner, DnV and Warthill Design . Nauta has signed contract with a Scottish shipowner in December 2015. This is particularly important order,as it concerns building of a turn-key vessel and all construction process – from the beginning to the end – will be carried out at Nauta New Building Devision located in the former Gdańsk Shipyard.

Nauta Yard Launches Offshore Vessel

Nauta Shiprapair Yard launched a partly outfitted service offshore vessel, Esvagt Njord, built for Norwegian client, Havyard Ship Technology. Taking place on January 22, the launching marks Nauta’s first in 2016. The contract for this unit was signed roughly a year ago, and today the ship launched from the slipway B1. Esvagt Njord was built at a rapid pace, simultaneously with other ship construction in Nauta Shipyard – said Ewa Jagielska Director of Marketing in Newbuilding Department in Nauta Shiprepair Yard. Esvagt Njord is 84 meters long and over 17 meters wide.
