SENER Develops Multipurpose Subsea Support Vessel

Operators are demanding more efficient, less consuming and more capable vessels, while shipbuilders need to achieve it in a very competitive environment. As a ship design firm, SENER says it plays an important role offering value to all stakeholders, with innovative designs taking in consideration operators' and builders' requirements. SENER is currently developing a new multipurpose subsea support vessel specially designed for subsea remotely operated vehicle (ROV) light construction duties, for worldwide service.

SENER Debuts Latest FORAN Release

At  Sinaval-Eurofishing in Bilbao, Spain, Sener will present enhancements in the shipbuilding CAD/CAM system FORAN, in all disciplines (forms, naval architecture and general arrangement, hull structure, machinery and outfitting, electrical design and drafting). The naval architecture modules have been renovated in a single tool called FBASIC that incorporates new capabilities and and interface working in conjunction with the general arrangement solution, to improve the tasks during the early design stage: forms generation, compartment generation and naval architecture calculations, Sener said.   (As published in the April 2015 edition of Maritime Reporter & Engineering News - http://magazines.marinelink.com/Magazines/MaritimeReporter)

SENER informs it will take active part in SINAVAL-EUROFISHING from April 21-23, a fair held every two years in Bilbao. Seaplace acquires FORAN V70 Licenses

The Spanish engineering company Seaplace has recently acquired new licenses of the CAD/CAM FORAN System, to be used in its marine projects. The scope of the new agreement includes the packages of Forms, Naval Architecture and Advanced Design and Drawing of the version V70 of FORAN. These licenses are added to the ones Seaplace already had. “FORAN System efficiency allows us to be very competitive in concept and basic design projects and in particular in the projects of specific vessels for offshore operations” said José María Berbiela after the signature of the new agreement.

Seaplace Acquires New Licenses of FORAN V70

The Spanish engineering company Seaplace has recently acquired new licenses of the CAD/CAM FORAN System, to be used in its marine projects. The scope of the new agreement includes the packages of Forms, Naval Architecture and Advanced Design and Drawing of the version V70 of FORAN. These licenses are added to the ones Seaplace already had. “FORAN System efficiency allows us to be very competitive in concept and basic design projects and in particular in the projects of specific vessels for offshore operations” said José María Berbiela after the signature of the new agreement. Seaplace is currently using the Naval Architecture modules of FORAN V70 for the design of an Offshore Crane Vessel with a lifting capacity of 2,500 ST and length overall of 172,5 m.
