Truston Technologies Inc., GPA Technologies Inc., Harbor Offshore Inc., Great Eastern Group Inc., and Hardline-Resolute CM, J.V. are being awarded option year three under a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee multiple award contract for barriers and mooring services in support of the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center in Port Hueneme. The work to be performed provides for project execution, logistic support, and information management services for installation, inspection, repair, maintenance, and field supervision/operation of waterfront barriers, associated moorings, waterfront security systems, and marine facilities throughout the world. The combined total value for all five contractors is $17,500,000. No funds will be obligated with this award.

MAR Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a maximum amount $30,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in support of the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center, Port Hueneme, for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the M/V Independence, including providing research, development, testing, and evaluation of undersea surveillance systems, load handling systems, acoustic array systems, cable system components, cable and system survivability studies, installation methods, test vessel support, and training range establishment and maintenance. Work will be performed in Port Hueneme, Calif. The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of April 2015.

Sound & Sea Technology Inc. won a five-year military contract worth up to $29.5 million to provide ocean engineering services for U.S. naval facilities around the world, according to a recent HeraldNet report. The company will lead a team that includes 11 subcontractors in a range of projects for the Navy, including assisting with undersea cable installation, offshore structure and buoy work, and improving harbor and port security. The contract's first year gives Sound & Sea and its contractors more than $5.7 million.
