NCS Survey, Ceona Ink 5-Year Pact

Ceona's DP3 Multi-purpose Vessel, the Normand Pacific (Credit NCS Survey)

NCS Survey, an Acteon company, has been awarded a five year contract for positioning services with SURF Company, Ceona. Mobilization has been completed on the first vessel, Ceona’s DP3 multi-purpose vessel, the Normand Pacific. Succeeding its initial work in the Gulf of Mexico, NCS Survey will be supporting Ceona with further subsea work in Nigeria at the ABO and OYO fields.

NCS Survey Hires Goldsworthy

NCS Survey, an Acteon company, has appointed Simon Goldsworthy as business development manager in its Aberdeen office. Goldsworthy will be responsible for building relationships with existing and potential clients and growing NCS Survey’s presence in the offshore industry globally. Having been active in the offshore industry for more than 18 years, he has already demonstrated a successful track record in new business development. Before joining NCS Survey, Goldsworthy was in global commercial roles within both Sonardyne International and Teledyne TSS.

NCS Survey Wins Multi-Year Contract with Aker

NCS Survey, an Acteon company, has been awarded a five-year contract with AKOFS Wayfarer AS, a Norwegian marine contractor, for the supply of positioning and survey services aboard the Aker Wayfarer. Bibby Offshore Invests Millions

Aberdeen-based subsea installation contractor Bibby Offshore has announced investment of around £11million in Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems for its latest division, Bibby Remote Intervention Limited (BRIL). Initial investment of close to £4million has been made in ROV systems for Bibby Offshore’s fleet of Diving Support Vessels (DSVs) to bring the service provision in-house, while 46 jobs have been created on and offshore within the division already this year. NCS Survey Wins Shell Rig Position Deal

NCS Survey, an Acteon company, won a rig positioning contract by Shell. The contract covers Shell’s four entities in Europe; Shell UK Ltd, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV, A/S Norske Shell and Shell E&P Ireland Ltd. The contract is for three years with two one-year extension options. This is the second time that NCS Survey has been awarded such a contract by Shell, first one being in December 2006 less than 18 months after the company was incorporated. Andy Gray, NCS Survey president, said, “We are delighted that Shell has selected NCS Survey to provide the positioning services on board its rigs for the next few years.

SeaHold GEOSHIPS Adds Two New Offshore Vessels

SeaHold GEOSHIPS expanded its fleet of multi-purpose offshore vessels. The two new vessels ‘Loch Erisort’ and ‘Loch Roag’ brings the Aberdeen-based firm’s fleet up to three, while also signifying a $140m in additional financial commitment. The new vessels, which are both of Vik & Sandvik VS470 design will be delivered in Quarter 1 2012 and Quarter 4 2012 respectively and are actively being promoted to the Oil and Gas market for long-term work. GeoShips Charters New Offshore Vessel
