Flexible Pod System Key to WFSV Versatility

workboatd designer and builder CTruk cites versatility as a key factor in Offshore Turbine Services’ (OTS) acquisition of seven 18.5-meter wind farm support vessels (WFSV) over the past three years. OTS has worked its CTruk fleet all around the U.K. and into Europe on various wind farm projects and one of the key aspects of its busy employment has been the versatility provided by the flexible deck pod system that enables the boat to be reconfigured in a matter of hours to carry out a variety of roles.

Offshore Turbine Services Order More CTruk Boats

Offshore Turbine Services (OTS) has ordered two more CTruk 20T MPCs for delivery in spring 2014. The inking of this latest order comes as the company prepare to name their fifth CTruk multi-purpose cat in Brightlingsea this week, the Commodore P. CTruk explain that from the start OTS’ operations director, Nick Bright, has worked closely with CTruk on enhancing the 20T design to fit their specific requirements. With his years of experience as a commercial fisherman, there is little Nick doesn’t know about the demands made on these boats at sea on 24/7 offshore operations.

Composite Carries Savings for Offshore Turbine Services

Hereford-based Offshore Turbine Services reported savings from choosing composite over aluminum craft in the offshore wind market. New Offshore Turbine Service Catamaran Joins CTruck Fleet

The third CTruk 20T multi-purpose catamaran to join the expanding Offshore Turbine Services fleet is now operational on the London Array. The new vessel, named Admiral P,  joins sister workboats Cardinal P and Captain P, all resin-infusion composite vessels designed and built by CTruk at its base in Brightlingsea, Essex, UK.
