CEVA Logistics Implements Turnaround Plan

Following the friendly takeover bid for CEVA Logistics, the CMA CGM Group has implemented a turnaround plan which includes a new governance, a new brand identity and priorities reset. CEVA’s new operations center opened in Marseilles.The CMA CGM Group now holds 99.6% of CEVA's equity. Structural decisions have been made during the second quarter of 2019 to enable CEVA’s financial recovery and create the conditions of a solid and successful turnaround.Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEVA Logistics at the Annual General Shareholders Meeting held on 29 April 2019.A new, stronger governance structure has been put in place.

CMA CGM Reshuffles CEVA Logistics Management

French container transportation and shipping giant appointed its Chairman and CEO Rodolph Saade as the new chariman of Swiss third-party logistics provider CEVA Logistics, thus asserting its near-full control over CEVA.Nicolas Sartini, who currently holds the position of Group Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of CEVA is appointed Chief Executive Officer as from June 1st. He will bring his experience and expertise to CEVA as it embarks on a new journey. He will replace Xavier Urbain who will become Executive Advisor to Rodolphe Saadé.Marvin O. Schlanger, Victor Balli, Dr. Rosalind Rivaz and John F. Smith did not stand for re-election. Rolf Watter, Daniel Hurstel and Emanuel R. Pearlman were re-elected for a one-year term of office until the AGM 2020.

APL Receives Silver Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis

APL has been awarded the silver rating for its 2017 Corporate Social Responsibility performance by EcoVadis, a trusted name that provides supplier sustainability ratings for global supply chains. APL Reports 48% CO2 Emission Reduction in 2016

APL has announced its highest recorded fleet carbon dioxide emissions reduction of 48 percent in 2016, compared to its base level in 2009. Verified by Lloyd’s Register Group according to the Clean Cargo Working Group (CCWG) verification protocol and ISO14064-3:2006 standard, this achievement marks APL’s seventh consecutive year of improvements. “APL is pleased to register our best carbon reduction performance as yet, improving our fleet emission level by about 3 percent, versus our reduction in 2015. APL prides ourselves as a responsible carrier and will persevere in our pursuits of environmental excellence as we facilitate global trade,” said APL Chief Executive Officer, Nicolas Sartini who champions APL’s sustainability course.

APL Gears Up as Part of Ocean Alliance

As part of the CMA CGM Group, APL will join the league of the world’s largest container shipping lines in the OCEAN Alliance from April 2017. NOL Appoints New CEO, CFO

Amid a takeover by France’s CMA CGM, Singapore container shipper Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) has named a new chief executive officer and chief financial officer. Nicolas Sartini will take over as chief executive officer, succeeding Ng Yat Chung, who has served as NOL president and CEO since 2011. New chief financial officer Serge Corbel will join Sartini as executive directors of the newly constituted 10-member NOL board. Ng will continue as executive director on the NOL board and will be a special adviser to the new chairman, Rodolphe Saadé, who is also the vice chairman of CMA CGM.

CMA CGM Takes Control at NOL, Reshuffles the Board

France’s CMA CGM now holds over 78 percent of the shares in Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), bringing it closer to taking the Singapore company private. CMA CGM currently owns approximately 78.07% of all NOL shares, and does not intend to preserve the listing status of NOL. Further to the Offer Implementation Agreement, this change in control results in a change in the composition of NOL's Board of Directors. Consequently, a reconstituted Board of Directors, comprising ten members, has been appointed with effect from 9 June. The members of the reconstituted Board of Directors are Mr. Rodolphe Saadé (Chairman), Nicolas Sartini, Lars Kastrup, Serge Corbel, Ziad Tabet, Mrs. Mathilde Lemoine, Ng Yat Chung, Kwa Chong Seng, Quek See Tiat and Tan Puay Chiang.

CMA CGM Ships Lead Procession in the Suez Canal

Worldwide shipping group CMA CGM informs that two of its containerships are leading a vessel procession that celebrates the inauguration of the newly expanded Suez Canal on Thursday, August 6. The two vessels at the head of the procession, CMA CGM Laperouse and CMA CGM Titan, sail as part of 11 of CMACGM’s main shipping lines transiting by the Suez Canal. Eight percent of the world’s commercial maritime traffic goes through the Suez Canal, which represents an average of one CMA CGM vessel transiting in each direction daily, the shipper said.

CMA CGM Reshuffles Asia-Europe Lines

The CMA CGM Group informs it has reorganized its container shipping lines between Asia and Europe with the reshuffle of its FAL1 and FAL3 services to better meet clients’ needs and optimize vessel utilization, notably increasing Chinese ports coverage with the group’s largest ships. CMA CGM Extends Black Sea/North Europe Service

The CMA CGM Group announced the extension of its FEMEX service on the North Europe – Mediterranean trade. In order to improve the coverage of the North Europe – Mediterranean trade and coinciding with a growing existing demand, the CMA CGM Group extended its FEMEX service in the Black Sea with the addition of three new calls in Samsun (Turkey), Novorossiysk (Russia) and Constanta (Romania). The CMA CGM Group will become the only shipping line offering a direct coverage into the Black Sea region from / to North Europe.

CMA CGM MARCO POLO

CMA CGM Group said that the CMA CGM Marco Polo, the world’s largest containership, began its first voyage on Wednesday, November 7, in Ningbo, China. The ship is a 16,000 TEU vessel, owned by CMA CGM, sailing under the UK flag. Built by DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering) in South Korea, the ship displays exceptional dimensions at 396 x 54m, with a draft of 16m. CMA CGM Marco Polo is the first of a series of three 16,000 TEU vessels, will to be named after great explorers. The delivery of the two next vessels is expected in 2013.
