ERMA Bullish on Ballast Water Treatment

After having delivered several BWTS systems in Kita Nihon shipyard in Japan, one more ERMA FIRST BWTS was successfully installed onboard the Bulk Carrier M/V SCARABÉ(DWT: 60,000t), managed by NIOVIS SHIPPING COMPANY, which was built at Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES). ERMA FIRST team performed successfully the commissioning within four days prior its official delivery to the yard, owner and class on April 25th. M/V SCARABÉ is the first of the three ships that will be equipped with ERMA FIRST BWTS under the contract that ERMA FIRST has signed with NIOVIS SHIPPING SA. M/V SCARABÉ is the first of the new series of such 60,000t DWT B/C from MES.

MES Delivers 66,000 DWT Bulk Carrier

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES) completed and delivered a 66,000 dwt type bulk carrier M.V. Draftslayer (MES Hull No. 1878) at its Tamano Works on 15th January, 2014 to Kinissis Navigation E.N.E./Niovis Shipping Co., S.A., Greece. This is the second ship of the "wide beam shallow draft vessel" called "neo66BC", the new generation ship of our line up "neo series".

Erma First BWTS Installed for Evalend Shipping

Erma First ESK Engineering Solutions S.A. has concluded the installation of its Ballast Water Management System "Erma First" in two container ships being built at Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding for Greek owner Evalend Shipping Co. S.A. The agreement for the installations was signed in 2012 with Erma First who was awarded the contract against seven competitors. Erma First  was selected by both the shipyard and the owner on the basis of the system’s cost effectiveness, while a key factor was also the double filter system it carries.
