NMEA Awards Top Electronic Makers

Marine electronics experts named 11 products in nine categories as winners of the 2014 NMEA Product Awards. Once again, Furuno USA was named Manufacturer of the Year--Support. The winners were announced at the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) International Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held October 8-11 at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott in Fort Myers, Florida. Category winners are chosen by regional panels of NMEA members from around the country, hand picked by the NMEA Awards Committee for their extensive knowledge of marine electronics to create a level playing field for all product and manufacturer support nominations. "We want to congratulate all of the award recipients," said NMEA Managing Director Mark Reedenauer.

Raymarine Autopilot wins NMEA-BWI Technology Award

Independent panel selects product based on innovation, benefit to boaters, practicality and value. Raymarine took top honors at the 2013 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) International Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, winning the NMEA-BWI Technology Award for its Evolution Autopilot. The NMEA event, held at the San Diego Sheraton Hotel & Marina September 25-28, was attended by representatives of leading marine electronics manufacturers, dealers, distributors, media, and others from the United States and abroad. Named runners-up in the Technology Award competition were Nobeltec's TimeZero app (first) and Garmin's quatix marine watch (second).

Nobeltec App Wins 2013 NMEA Award

National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) annually recognizes companies that have demonstrated innovation and excellence by selecting products that have stood out from competitors in terms of functionality, usability and quality. Nobeltec was represented at the NMEA conference in San Diego last week by its Chief Technical Officer Iker Pryszo, as well as our Sales Manager Rodell Razor. Iker accepted the NMEA award for Computer Based Software on behalf of Nobeltec, which honored its product TimeZero App for iPad, based on TimeZero technology.

Nobeltec is pleased to announce a new partnership with Taylor Marine of Australia. As of October 1, 2011, Taylor Marine, also known as JN Taylor & Co. Ltd., will act as Nobeltec’s exclusive distributor of all Nobeltec products sold to dealers and end users in Australia. “It is with great enthusiasm that Nobeltec and JN Taylor enter into this partnership,” Nobeltec General Manager Bill Washburn said. Taylor Marine will provide Australian customers and Nobeltec dealers with strong, local technical support for Nobeltec PC-based navigation software including TimeZero Trident, Admiral and VNS. AR Engineering Debuts New Computer

AR Engineering unveiled its newest marine computer designed for the latest software from MaxSea and Nobeltec. The Advantage TZ has Intel core I5 processors and a video card with 512MB of video RAM. This Nobeltec and MaxSea recommended card optimizes graphic intensive programs such as Nobeltec Trident and MaxSea TimeZero. This is the only high performance, fanless marine computer capable of running commercial versions of MaxSea such as TimeZero Plot. Discrete video cards enhance the video performance of the computer considerably compared to integrated video.

Nobeltec Releases New Service Pack

Nobeltec announces new hardware integration and software functionality with the service pack release of Admiral 11.1 and VNS 11.1. VNS and Admiral are designed for safe and accurate navigation on recreational boats, commercial vessels, and mega yachts. This newest service pack adds value to Nobeltec navigation systems. One of the most significant updates to the marine navigational software is the ability to integrate with the Furuno Digital Fish Finder (DFF1) Sounder. Improvements to NMEA 2000 integration also enhance functionality in the Admiral and VNS software. The new release supports NMEA 2000 AIS Device Priority, and the real time weather functionality has been upgraded to include Pressure, Air Temperature and Humidity inputs from NMEA 2000 sensors.

Boatracs Presents ChartView At Workboat

Boatracs, a business unit of Advanced Remote Communication Solutions (ARCOMS) has formed a strategic alliance with Nobeltec Corp., a developer of charting and navigation software. Together, they will spotlight ChartView Celestial Mariner, Boatracs' and Nobletec's nautical charting navigation and communications software, which was presented at the 1999 Fish Expo in Seattle during November.
