NavStation to Launch at SMM

Touch screen technology has transformed everyday life and now, thanks to Norwegian e-navigation specialist NAVTOR, it is set to revolutionize operations onboard busy vessel bridges. Today sees the launch of the NAVTOR NavStation, the world’s first ‘Digital Chart Table’ and a breakthrough in bridge-based decision making tools. NavStation combines unique software with an optional 46inch ‘gigapad’ touch device, giving navigators an intuitive and user-friendly interface to plan optimal vessel routes.

104,800 Attendees at OTC 2013

Experts from the offshore energy industry around the world came together May 6-9 for the 2013 Offshore Technology Conference at Reliant Park in Houston. Attendance at the conference reached a 30-year high of 104,800, the second highest in show history and up 17% from last year. Attendance surpassed the 2012 total of 89,400 and the sold-out exhibition was the largest in show history at 652,185 ft², up from 641,350 ft² in 2012. The event had 2,728 companies representing 40 countries, including 244 new exhibitors in 2013. International companies made up 39% of exhibitors.

BASS Prepares Agenda For Sea Japan

BASS will be exhibiting at the Sea Japan exhibition on April 10-12 in Tokyo, Japan. Jointly organized by CMP Japan Co., Ltd and The Seatrade Organization, Sea Japan 2002 will showcase a total of over 250 companies from 27 countries and regions. Software demonstrations will be shown throughout the exhibition period. Representatives from the company will also share customer case studies with visitors. BASS together with its Japanese sales agents; Aall & Co., Ltd and Frontier International Japan will be occupying booth number NOR-04 at the Norwegian Pavilion. Furthermore, BASS will participate in the New Technology Seminar that will be held alongside the exhibition.
