Atlantic Offshore Get Extension for 3 ERRVs

Norway-based Atlantic Offshore, a provider of safety and support at sea, announced that it has received contract extensions for three of its emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs).The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) UK has declared a 9 month option for Ocean Osprey, commencing end of June, said the provider of emergency response, rescue & recovery, multi-role and platform supply vessel operations, within the UK and Norwegian energy sectors.Ocean Osprey  is a offshore supply vessel built in 2014 which currently sailing under the flag of United Kingdom (UK).Meanwhile, Total UK has declared one year option for Ocean Troll, commencing mid-July, said the company.

Atlantic Offshore Scotland Secures Charter with Maersk Oil UK

Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) operator Atlantic Offshore Scotland Ltd, has secured a two-year firm charter with Maersk Oil UK. The company’s ERRV Ocean Troll, will provide Emergency Response and Rescue services for Maersk Oil’s Culzean project in the central North Sea. The Charter is the first Fire Fighting Class II (Fi-Fi II) ERRV to have operated in the UK sector. The charter commenced in July 2017 and will last for a firm period of two years, with two, one-year options thereafter.

Atlantic Offshore Charters Nexen Rescue Vessel

Aberdeen-based standby vessel operator Atlantic Offshore Rescue has commissioned a £6 million vessel for a long-term charter with Nexen Petroleum UK Ltd. (Nexen). Thirty new jobs have been created as a result of the new vessel, Ocean Tay, a Class A Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV), which will provide emergency vessel cover for Nexen’s flagship Golden Eagle Area Development in the North Sea. The charter will last a minimum of two years. Atlantic Offshore Rescue is part of the Atlantic Offshore Group, which is based in Norway. Atlantic Offshore Rescue Ltd.

Atlantic Offshore and Ocean Response

Multi-role Rescue Vessel (MRV) and Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) specialist Atlantic Offshore recently took its active fleet number to 19 vessels (six newbuilds are also under construction), with the delivery of the Ocean Response (pictured). Built by nearby Bergen shipyards, the vessel is the first of its kind to use a configuration of varying sized Wärtsilä engines (two of the Wärtsilä 6L32 models and two 6L20 generating sets) to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

"Most Powerful" Rescue Vessel Commissioned

Aberdeen-based standby vessel operator Atlantic Offshore Rescue said it has commissioned what will be the U.K.’s most powerful emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV). The Ocean Troll – which recently completed a long term charter with Statoil – has undergone a £2 million conversion and overhaul at MMS in Hull to become a U.K. Class A ERRV with tanker assist and firefighting capabilities. Its home port will be Aberdeen and it will become Atlantic Offshore Rescue’s principal relief vessel supporting the fleet in the North Sea.
