ISS, CGG Ink Brazil Agency Deal
Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world's leading maritime and logistics service provider, has signed a contract with CGG to provide offshore agency support services for a new oil and gas exploration project in the Barreirinhas Basin in the equatorial margin of northern Brazil. As a specialist geoscience company, CGG is conducting the multi-client seismic project, which will be the oil and gas industry’s first regional broadband survey of the Barreirinhas basin. ISS will provide a range of services for the Barreirinhas project including port agency, crew transfer, visa assistance and cargo services. CGG is deploying its specialized seismic vessel, the Oceanic Vega, to acquire the 14,500-km² 3D seismic survey.
Inchcape Shipping Services Opens Mauritius Office
Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has expanded its operations into Mauritius, with the acquisition of Belship Co Ltd. Renamed ISS Belship, this opening marks ISS’ first venture in the country and is based in the capital, Port-Louis. Belship Co Ltd was founded in 1996 and ISS Belship will continue to offer established services including marine and offshore agency, logistics and freight forwarding, as well as introducing a wider portfolio of global service offerings. The ISS Belship team in Port Louis is headed by General Manager Arnaud Teycheney, who was a former shareholder of Belship and is loyally supported by his team of experienced staff. ISS celebrated the opening in Mauritius with a reception at the Le Meridian Resort, Balaclava on 1st June 2012.
