Tekmar to Shield Triton Knoll OWF

Tekmar Energy, a provider of protection systems for subsea cable, umbilical and flexible pipes and offshore engineering services, said that it has secured a contract by Boskalis to provide cable protection systems (CPS) for the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm (OWF) in the UK.Triton Knoll is located 32 kilometres off the coast of Lincolnshire and consists of 90 turbines in water depth of 15-21m. The project will provide a total of 860 MW providing sustainable renewable energy to over 800,000 homes in the UK when complete.Russell Edmondson, Managing Director of Tekmar Energy said: “We are delighted to continue our trusted relationship with Boskalis following many years of success together.

Aqualis Offshore and CSDC Join Forces

Aqualis Offshore and China Ship Design & Research Center Co., Ltd (CSDC) have signed an agreement to cooperate on engineering projects both in China and internationally. CSDC, a subsidiary company of China Shipbuilding Industry Corp (CSIC), specializes in shipbuilding and offshore engineering services. Aqualis Offshore, part of Oslo-listed Aqualis ASA, is a specialized offshore marine and engineering consultancy firm, focusing on the shallow and deep-water offshore segments of the oil and gas industry. Under the agreement, Aqualis Offshore and CSDC will cooperate in the fields of engineering, project management, research, innovation and marketing. A key objective is to develop a joint engineering service to offshore newbuild projects in China and elsewhere.

ONGC bags Dun & Bradstreet Corporate Excellence Award - 2014

ONGC was honored with the prestigious corporate award – ‘The Dun & Brandstreet Corporate Excellence Award’ for its stellar management and leadership on May 28,2014. ONGC received the award for excellence in the Oil and Gas Production sector. Mr A K Jain, Executive Director, Chief- Offshore Engineering Services, received the award on the behalf of the organization. Atlantic Pacific Marine Reports Unprecedented Growth

Unprecedented growth for Atlantic Pacific Marine, one of the world’s fast growing marine and offshore engineering services companies, has resulted in it having to open a new UK HQ. In just three years since its 2010 set-up, the company has seen turnover soar to over £4million, with net profits consistently over 25%. Turnover to-date for 2013 is £4.2 million, against a net profit of £1.3million. Atlantic Pacific Marine’s customers include Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises,P&O,Wartsila, Total Oil and NOV.

Jaya Reports $46.1 Million Full Year Net Profit

Jaya Holdings Limited reported consolidated revenue of $201.8 million and net profit of $46.1 million for the financial year ended 30 June 2013. The group’s total revenue for the financial year under review was $201.8 million, 145% higher than the previous financial year. The increase in the group’s revenue was due to increased vessel sales and improved charter utilization. The Offshore Support Services (OSS) Division’s higher revenue for the financial year under review was due to improved utilization of 80% compared to 70% a year ago.

Aker Wins Big EPCI Contract Offshore Canada

Aker Solutions awarded contract for offshore engineering services to support Husky Energy at White Rose field. The scope of work includes studies, modifications (EPCI) and campaign maintenance services. The duration is five years with an option to extend the contract for as many as 10 one-year periods. The estimated contract value is NOK 900 million for the five-year period. "We are delighted that Husky has chosen us as their preferred partner for offshore engineering services at the White Rose field," says Tore Sjursen, head of maintenance, modifications and operations at Aker Solutions. The project will employ about 70 management and engineering employees onshore, as well as 20 people on rotation offshore. The White Rose field is located 350 kilometres southeast of St.

ABS Restructures Engineering Organization

Effective 1 May, ABS will introduce changes to its global engineering organization designed to improve service delivery to clients and reinforce technical capabilities. The new organizational structure is similar to the approach the society has used to administer its global survey services in recent years and is intended to provide better administration of its ship and offshore engineering services, more technical support to the engineering staff conducting plan reviews and promote greater technical consistency. The key component of this new organizational structure is the creation of Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE) positions within each operating Division, reporting directly to the ABS Chief Engineer Robert Giuffra in the corporate headquarters in Houston.

Noble Denton Executive Appointments

Noble Denton, the premier provider of life cycle marine and offshore engineering services to the oil & gas, marine and renewables industries, announced two executive appointments within its American operations. The company appointed Michael Lowe as Global Business Team Group Director, Project Management Services, and Vernon Luning as President, Lowe Offshore International, US Project Management Services. Michael Lowe will report to David Rowan, Managing Director, Project Management & Execution, with an initial remit to develop the company’s global field development project management capabilities. He furthers a 35-year career in domestic and international oil & gas project management and market development.
