Emerson Process Management has supplied over 1500 Rosemount pressure and temperature transmitters for use in the Sakhalin II offshore oil and gas production project in the Sea of Okhotsk. Situated in Russia’s far east; Sakhalin Island, North of Japan, experiences environmental conditions which provide a challenge to measurement instrumentation, with extremes of ambient temperature (from -45 to +40C) and wide daily changes. These harsh conditions led the main contractors for the offshore platforms and the onshore treatment facilities to specify Rosemount transmitters.
