TWMA Bags £1.5 mln North Sea Contract with Apache

Global integrated drilling waste management and environmental services firm, TWMA, has recently secured a £1.5 million contract with Apache on the WilPhoenix platform in the North Sea Beryl field. As part of TWMA’s fully integrated waste management solution, the one year (with one year option) contract will utilise the company’s award-winning TCC RotoMill® for offshore processing and EfficientC® for cuttings transfer and distribution. NNPC Ends Offshore Processing Agreements

Nigeria's state oil company has cancelled its contract for the delivery of crude to the country's refineries in Warri, Port Harcourt and Kaduna, it said on Wednesday. Oil sales account for about 70 percent of government revenue in Nigeria, Africa's top crude producer, but the country imports most of the fuel used by its 170 million inhabitants because of its inefficient, ageing refineries. "The corporation has cancelled the current contract due to exorbitant cost and inappropriate process of engagement," a Nigerian National Petroleum Corp (NNPC) statement said, adding that the aim is to cut costs and improve efficiency. Ecospeed to Coat EXMAR Caribbean FLNG

In order to tap into Colombian stranded gas reserves, Pacific Rubiales Energy Corporation and EXMAR nv have partnered in a project to build and operate a floating LNG liquefaction, and storage unit, the Caribbean FLNG, which will be stationed at a jetty several kilometers off the Caribbean coast of Colombia for at least 15 years. First TWMA Offshore Processing Contract in Norway

TWMA, a  company in integrated drilling and environmental solutions for the international onshore and offshore oil and gas industry, has been awarded a major contract with Total E&P Norge AS to deliver offshore waste management services during the development of the Martin Linge field located on the Northern Viking Graben in the Central North Sea. The seven-year contract is TWMA’s first offshore contract in the region and, if given the go-ahead by Norwegian authorities, could see the introduction of offshore processing to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

TWMA Wins Angola's First Offshore Processing Contract

TWMA, a company in integrated drilling and environmental solutions for the international onshore and offshore oil and gas industry, has become the first to be awarded an offshore processing contract in Angola. The agreement, worth up to $35m, will see TWMA pioneer the concept of offshore processing in this rapidly developing but environmentally sensitive frontier, through the design, installation and operation of tailored solutions on board a newbuild drillship to support a major global operator’s drilling campaign. Underlining TWMA’s global growth plans, this latest contract - with duration of up to five years - will see the company establish a new onshore support facility in Luanda and is expected to generate up to 50 new jobs in Aberdeen and Angola by the end of the year.

Calecore’s multi-role DP2 survey vessel 'Highland Spirit' completes operations offshore Tunisia and Tanzania. After completing a geotechnical investigation offshore Tunisia in December 2012 comprising a 50m composite borehole and 3 x 30m CPT’s in less than 3 days; preparations began for the Highland Spirit's transit south to Tanzania. For the Gulf of Aden significant security assessments and preparations were made and the vessel arrived safely in Dar es Salaam on the 29th January where the Geophysical survey team joined the vessel and set sail for the survey area on 30th January, 2013.

Tata Steel’s New OPC Reduces Renewable Energy Costs

Tata Steel today inaugurated its new £2 million offshore processing centre (OPC) at an event in Hartlepool attended by more than 40 leading business figures from the European renewable energy sector. Following a presentation at Hartlepool College of Further Education, guests were shown round the company’s new centre, a high-productivity processing facility that will produce welded tubular assemblies to be used in the fabrication of jacket foundations for offshore wind turbines. They also visited Tata Steel’s 42-inch tube mill, one of three tube mills located at the company’s Hartlepool site.

Technip, Wheatstone Project Processing Platform

Technip has been awarded, by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd, a front end engineering design (FEED) contract for the offshore processing platform associated with the Wheatstone Project in Australia. The upstream (offshore) portion of the project comprises development of gas fields in the WA-17-R and WA-253-P petroleum titles located on the Northwest Shelf offshore Western Australia at water depths of 70 to 200 meters. Subsea gas gathering systems will transport production to the processing platform where the gas and condensate will be respectively dehydrated, dewatered, compressed and exported through a 200 kilometers export pipeline to the onshore gas plant located at Ashburton North, 12 kilometers west of Onslow, on the Pilbara coast of mainland Western Australia.
