Offshore Wind: Fugro Wins Geotechnical Survey Gig in Denmark

Dutch offshore survey services firm Fugro has secured a contract with the Danish grid operator Energinet for geotechnical site investigations for the North Sea I offshore wind development.The Danish government plans to expand offshore wind capacity by 4GW by 2030, and the geodata acquired by Fugro will be used to inform future bids in the area. Reach Subsea Set to Complete Acquisition of iSurvey

Norway-based subsea services company Reach Subsea is set to close the acquisition of the offshore survey company iSurvey, first announced in mid-February.As previously reported, Reach Subsea said on February 17 it had agreed to buy the offshore survey services firm iSurvey in a transaction valued NOK 135 million. Fugro's New USV to Chart Waters Off South Australia

Fugro will use its new uncrewed surface vessel (USV) to chart the waters of South Australia’s Gulf St Vincent and Investigator Strait as part of the Australian Government’s HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP).The Dutch-based offshore survey services company will carry out  the 998 km2 survey will be conducted on behalf of the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO), which will use the data to update nautical charts for safer navigation. Fugro Wins Large Chevron Offshore Navigation Contract

Netherlands-based Fugro has been contracted by Chevron subsidiary Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Ltd, to support its development program at Block 0, off the coast of Cabinda province, Angola. The contract includes the provision of offshore positioning services and accurate navigation systems for Chevron’s drilling units, vessels and structures, together with both onshore and offshore survey services. Fugro’s offshore geophysical data acquisition services will be supplemented by data processing, interpretation and reporting. At Chevron’s onshore facilities in Malongo, Fugro’s survey services will include subsidence evaluations, topographical surveys, chart production, interpretation and reporting. www.fugro.com

Nautronix Wins Major Contract In Norway

Nautronix have been awarded a three year contract by the Norwegian SURF contractor, Ocean Installer AS, for the supply of survey services to support their offshore construction activities. The contract includes the provision of onshore and offshore survey services in support of tendering and project activities. Nautronix will initially mobilise survey personnel and equipment onto the Normand Clipper, Ocean Installer’s long term chartered construction vessel due to commence offshore operations in May 2012.
