Port Canaveral's Cruise Team is gaining a new dimension with the appointment of Dave German as Director, Cruise Business Development, effective Friday, November 10, 2017. German previously served as Port Canaveral's Senior Harbormaster. In his new role, he will be responsible for building the Port's alliances with cruise lines for both home ported and port-of-call vessels. Dave German holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marine transportation and logistics from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and earned an MBA in finance from Ohio University.

RSC Bio Solutions, developer of readily biodegradable lubricants and cleaners, has added Bernie Roell as vice president of technology. RSC Bio Solutions said it is aggressively addressing the needs of the biobased chemical industry for new innovative solutions for a wide range of applications. American Electric Power has named Keith Darling president of AEP River Operations LLC. Darling, 60, will oversee all managerial and operating activities related to AEP River Operations, including sales, planning and budgeting, accounting, business development, logistics, operations and maintenance. He replaces Mark Knoy, who left the company. "Keith's river operations experience is both broad and deep, and he has a unique understanding of how our river operations fit with our broader corporate strategy," said Tim Light, senior vice president – Fuels, Emissions & Logistics. Darling has served as managing director of boat operations for AEP River Operations since 2002.

Horizon Offshore, Inc. announced the election of John T. Mills to its board of directors. John T. Mills is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Marathon Oil Corporation. Mills joined Marathon Oil Company in 1976 as a tax specialist. He became chief tax counsel in 1984. In 1986, he became director of taxes and energy for USX Corporation. He was appointed vice president of taxes for USX in 1987. In September 1998, Mr. Mills was appointed senior vice president of finance and administration at Marathon Oil Company. Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Mills was employed by Coopers and Lybrand for three years. Mr. Mills earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Ohio University in 1969 and a law degree from Ohio State University in 1973.
