Damen PSV 3300: A Diamond in the Rough

The platform supply vessel World Diamond was delivered by Damen Shipyards, Galati, on June 28, 2013, to World Wide Supply. The PSV was built to a completely new and distinctive design from Damen, and World Diamond is the first of six PSVs for the Norwegian owner. The vessel is capable of worldwide operations and its construction involved close cooperation with Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, The Netherlands, which provided engineering and main equipment. Fifth Damen PSV for World Wide Supply

Damen Shipyards Group is set to deliver the fifth Platform Supply Vessel in a series of six to World Wide Supply of Norway. World Opal is a Damen PSV 3300 CD. The first ship, World Diamond, was delivered in July and the last in the series World Sapphire is due to be delivered mid-December. Delivery of the new design involved extensive CAD/CAM modeling by Damen Shipyards itself and model testing at Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN). The 3300 is part of an entire new range of Damen PSVs. With an 80.1m length, the PSV 3300 has a deck load of 1,500 metric tons.

Fourth Damen PSV Delivered to World Wide Supply

Damen Shipyards Group has recently delivered the fourth Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) in a series of six to World Wide Supply of Norway. World Emerald is a Damen PSV 3300 CD. The first ship, World Diamond, was delivered in July. The fifth PSV, World Opel, will be handed over in a few weeks and the last in the series, World Sapphire, is due to be delivered mid-December. Third Damen PSV Delivered to World Wide Supply

Damen Shipyards Galati has handed over the third Platform Supply Vessel in a series of six to World Wide Supply of Norway. This six-ship order heralds a new era in offshore construction for Damen Shipyards Group. World Pearl is built to Damen’s entirely new PSV 3300 design. The first of the Class PSV 3300, World Diamond, was delivered in July to the Norwegian company. “Delivery of the first PSV 3300 represents a new era in Damen’s continuing offshore supply vessel story,” said Arnout Damen commenting at the time of the first delivery.

'World Diamond', the first of a series of six uniquely designed platform supply vessels (PSV), was christened recently by the ship’s godmother, Princess Margareta of Romania, at Damen Shipyards’ Galati in Romania. Each of these PSVs is classed by Lloyd’s Register and is of 3,300 dwt with a breadth of 16.2 metres and draught of 6.5 metres. The remaining five PSVs will be delivered to their owner, Norwegian offshore support company, World Wide Supply AS (WWS), later this year. Four of the vessels will support the oil multinational Petrobas in offshore Brazil from next year…

Damen Shipyards Galati has delivered the World Diamond, the first of six Platform Supply Vessels for Norwegian offshore owner World Wide Supply, built to an entirely new Damen design. TTS to Supply Specialized Crane to Tender

A 2,600-grt multi-purpose Lights Tender on order in Holland for operation in the Middle East is to feature a sophisticated buoy-handling crane designed and manufactured by Norway's TTS Marine ASA. The vessel has been ordered by Middle East Navigation Aids Service (MENAS) from the Damen Shipyards Group in Holland, with the 82.6 m long hull being sub-contracted to Damen's Galatz Shipyard in Romania, with final outfitting taking place at Schelde Naval Shipbuilding in Vlissingen, Holland. Hull No. 554001 at Damen Shipyards is designed for a wide variety of operations, including buoy-handling and laying, oil pollution recovery and hydrographic survey work and brings a new level of sophistication to these types of operation in the Arabian Gulf…
