Norfolk Dredging Awarded U.S. ACE Delaware River Contract

The US Department of Defense informs that Norfolk Dredging Co., Chesapeake, Virginia, was awarded an $11,787,279 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging of the inland waterway Delaware River to Chesapeake Bay, Delaware and Maryland. Work will be performed in Maryland with an estimated completion date of Feb. 10, 2015. Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $11,787,279 are being obligated at award. DoD Award Dredging, Ship Maintenance, Charter Contracts

US Department of Defense informs of placement of contracts for Chesapeake Bay dredging, dry-docking of USS Pearl Harbor, and charter of surface escort vessels. Norfolk Dredging Company, Chesapeake, Virginia, has been awarded $18,784,248 for a dredging requirement for Baltimore harbor and channels. Maintenance dredging will take place in various channel sections in the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $18,784,248 were obligated at the time of the award. The US Department of Defense informs that it has awarded Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC, New Orleans, Louisiana, a US$116,956,672 firm-fixed-price contract with options for the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project's widening of the Florida Avenue Canal, Phase II and III, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. Work will be performed in New Orleans, Louisiana, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 15, 2018. Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $116,956,672 are being obligated at the time of the award. Latest DoD Contracts: Drydocking & Dredging

Amongst the latest US Department of Defense listing, Detyens Shipyards has been awarded the dry-docking contract for Navy oiler USNS Laramie, and Mansen Construction has been awarded a US West Coast dredging contract. Detyens Shipyards Inc. of North Charleston, S.C., is being awarded an $8,529,497 firm-fixed-price contract for a 55-calendar day regular overhaul and dry-docking of USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Laramie's primary mission is to provide fuel to U.S. Navy ships at sea and jet fuel to aircraft assigned to aircraft carriers.

Delaware River Dredge Contract for GLDD

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock (GLDD) LLC, Oak Brook, Ill., has been awarded a contract by the US Army Corps of Engineers for deepening the Delaware River main channel. The Department of Defense adds that Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $14,177,652 were obligated at the time of the award. Estimated completion date is Nov. 30, 2014. Cashman Dredging and Marine Contracting Co., Quincy, Mass. has been awarded a $8,238,900 firm-fixed-price, non-option eligible, non-multi-year contract by the Department of Defense for maintenance dredging at Norwalk and New Haven, Conn. Texas Dredging Contract Awarded by DofD

US Department of Defense, Army, has awarded a contract to Inland Dredging Co. for dredging of the of the Neches River Channel in Jefferson and Orange Counties, Texas. Inland Dredging Co., LLC, Dyersburg, Tenn., was awarded a firm-fixed-price, non-option, non-multi-year contract of $12,747,180 for the dredging of approximately 3,537,000 cubic yards from the federal channel and approximately 80,000 cubic yards from the non-federal channel of the Neches River Channel in Jefferson and Orange Counties, Texas. Performance location will be Port Arthur, Texas with funding from fiscal 2013 Operations and Maintenance Army funds. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Galveston District, Galveston, Texas is the contracting activity (W9126G-13-C-0042).
