Panoro Energy Buys OMV Tunisia

London-based E&P company Panoro Energy said its Norwegian subsidiary Panoro Tunisia Production has reached an agreement with OMV Exploration & Production GmbH to acquire 100 percent of the shares of OMV Tunisia Upstream GmbH.According to the Oslo-listed company, the acquisition is for a cash consideration of $65 million.OMV Tunisia Upstream holds a 49 percent interest in five oil producing concessions in Tunisia with net 2P reserves of 8.1 million barrels, and net production of approximately 2,000 bopd from 14 wells.It also owns 50 percent Thyna Petroleum Services, which serves as the operating company for the five oil producing concessions.

Drilling Starts in Santos Basin, Offshore Brazil

PanAtlantic holds deepwater exploration assets in Brazil, West Africa and the Black Sea. Vanco Brasil Exploração e Produção de Petróleo e Gás Natural Ltda., a wholly owned subsidiary of PanAtlantic Energy Group, announce that the Company has commenced drilling operations, using the GSF Arctic I semi-submersible drilling unit, for its three-well drilling campaign on blocks BM-S-72 (SM-1100), BM-S-63 (SM-1036), and BM-S-71 (SM-1035), in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil. PanAtlantic, through its Brazilian subsidiary Vanco Brasil Exploração e Produção de Petróleo e Gás Natural Ltda., holds a 70% participating interest in the concessions, together with Panoro Energy do Brasil Ltda. 15% and Brasoil Round 9 Exploração Petrolífera Ltda. 15%.

Panoro Energy Will Drill Three Wells in Brazil’s Offshore

RIO DE JANEIRO - Independent driller Panoro Energy (PEN.OS) expects to drill three wells in Brazil's offshore Santos Basin in coming months, the company's chief executive said Wednesday. During a presentation at the 18th Latin Oil Week, Panoro's Kjetil Solbraekke said three prospects will be targeted, with the first well drilled in June or July. (Dow Jones)
