Effects of Hull Fouling on Cruise Ships Study

Eniram collected data from + 60 cruise vessels & 38,000 sea days to highlight the financial impact of fouling across different sea areas. Eniram Limited, the Finnish provider of real-time decision support solutions for the shipping industry, has revealed its analysis on the effects of hull fouling on cruise vessels in different sea areas. This study also takes into account the impact of washing and dry docking on fouling by using data from over 38,000 operative sea days complemented with temperatures and salinity databases. Eniram’s landmark study on 60 cruise ships (90-120.000 GRT) sailing through a variety of sea areas is one of the most comprehensive of its kind due to the volume of data collected and high frequency of observations, up to 25 per second.
