SNAME Announces Pre-Meeting Training Courses

The Society of Naval Architects and Engineers (SNAME) has scheduled six pre-meeting training courses to run in the days immediately prior to the SNAME 2013 Annual Meeting and Expo, November 6-8 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington. Early registration discounts of up to $200 are available until October 14. This opportunity is offered to companies who regularly provide training courses to Naval Architects, Marine and Ocean Engineers. Peter Noble to Lead SNAME

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Elects Peter G. Noble as the Society’s Next President. On Friday November 18, 2011, Peter G. Noble was elected to be the next President of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) for a three-year term, the first year to be served as President Elect. For over 45 years, Mr. Noble has worked internationally as a Naval Architect and Ocean Engineer. His career has included positions in design and construction of ships and ocean systems, research and development, and in classification. currently serves as Chief Naval Architect at ConocoPhillips, the international energy company.

Noble, OTC Distinguished Achievement Award

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) will present the 2009 Distinguished Achievement Awards to Peter G. Noble for his marine design innovations and to Sakhalin Energy Investment Company for the Sakhalin II Phase 2 Project. The presentation will take place at the annual OTC Awards Luncheon on 5 May at Reliant Center in Houston, Texas, USA. The OTC will be held 4-7 May 2009, marking the event's 40th anniversary. Noble, who is ConocoPhillips' chief naval architect, will receive the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award for Individuals for his contributions to innovative marine vehicle and floating offshore systems design and engineering…
