Kalmar Signs Contract with PSA Corporation

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has been awarded a contract for the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment from PSA Corporation Ltd for the next 3-year term. The contract supports the overall maintenance effort of a fleet of up to 700 prime movers and trailer sets at Pasir Panjang Terminal. The contract has been booked into Cargotec's 2017 fourth quarter order intake. Peter McLean, Senior Vice-President of Kalmar Asia-Pacific, said: "We have been working with PSA on the maintenance of their equipment for more than 11 years. This contract is a testament of the work we have delivered to PSA during the past years. Peter added: "As one of the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for mobile equipment, we are happy that PSA has awarded us this tender.

Kalmar Rolls Out New Range of Equipments

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, launches a new range of equipment designed to offer customers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region a value-based choice of the high quality, reliable equipment that Kalmar is known for. Based on Kalmar's proven G-generation platform, the Essential range includes reachstackers, empty container handlers and forklifts. In addition, Kalmar introduces a new TL2 terminal tractor for the APAC customers. The range will be introduced during the Kalmar Sales and Dealer Conference in Hong Kong on 28-29 November. The Essential range of reachstackers (DRU450-570) comprises four models, with lifting capacities ranging from 45 to 57 tonnes.

Kalmar Straddle Carriers for DP World's Terminal, Melbourne

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has received orders for 10 diesel-electric straddle carriers from DP World for their West Swanson Terminal in Melbourne, Australia. One order for five units was booked in Cargotec's 2015 fourth quarter order intake and the other five units were booked in 2016 first quarter order intake. The machines will be delivered during the third quarter of 2016. Kalmar's AutoStrad delivered to Patrick's Port Botany

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, played a successful role in delivering an automated straddle carrier solution to Patrick Stevedores' during their recent automation of Port Botany container terminal in Sydney, Australia. The conversion from manual operations at Port Botany was made in only four days, setting a benchmark for the whole container terminal industry. Patrick's Port Botany is now the world's second fully-automated AutoStrad(TM) terminal, operating with 45 Kalmar AutoStrads and real time control systems. It follows the automation success of Patrick's Fisherman Island terminal in Brisbane, which was converted to an automated straddle carrier operation in 2005.

Cargotec Gets Major Order from DPWorld Brisbane

Cargotec receives an order to deliver 14 Kalmar automatic stackingcranes & 14 Kalmar one-over-one shuttle carriers to DP World Brisbane Pty. The equipment will be taken into use at the Port of Brisbane. DP World Brisbane will also be using Navis Sparcs N4 TOS in their Brisbane terminal expansion. Deliveries of the equipment are scheduled for 2013 and early 2014. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.
