Final USCG Response Boat Medium Delivered
U.S. Coast Guard Station St. The Coast Guard held a ceremony to recognize the 174th and final delivery of the Coast Guard’s 45-foot Response Boat-Medium at Sector St. Petersburg, Tuesday. The 174th RBM was delivered for use at Coast Guard Station St. Petersburg Feb. 26, 2015. Vice Adm. Peter V. Neffenger, Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard, members involved in the Coast Guard’s acquisition program, members from Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg and maritime industry personnel attended the ceremony to recognize the final delivery milestone.
US Hearing to Review Arctic Policy
The Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, chaired by Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), will hold a hearing next week to review U.S. policy in the Arctic and how the agencies with the largest presence in the Arctic intend to implement such policy. It is declared U.S. policy, relative to the Arctic region, to meet national security and homeland security needs, protect the environment, ensure sustainable natural resource management and development, strengthen institutions for cooperation among Arctic nations…

Vice Adm. John Currier will be relieved as the U.S. Coast Guard Vice Commandant by Vice Adm. Peter V. Neffenger in a change of watch ceremony on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in the CDR Raymond J. "Ray" Evans Conference Center in the Douglas A. Munro Coast Guard Headquarters Building.
