GCC Bunkers in Marine Fuel Processing Pact

Houston-based low sulfur specialists, GCC Bunkers (GCC) has reached a processing agreement with Texas International Terminals to produce IMO 2020 compliant 0.5% sulfur bunker fuel oil.The physical supplier of marine fuels said that the parties would also produce 0.1% ECA specification gasoil in the Houston, Texas area, starting in early 2020.“Our mission from the day we started GCC has been to provide solutions to our customers. Bunker One Expands to Freeport Bahamas

Minerva Bunkering Names Tyler Baron as CEO

First Bunker Supply by Barge at Paradip

Gulf Petrochem Group, the UAE based global bunker supplier, has set another milestone in its operations with the first-ever bunker supply by barge at the non-conventional port of Paradip in Odisa, India’s east coast in a joint effort with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). Gulf Petrochem arranged for the supply of 810 metric tons of bunker fuel IFO 180 CST by barge. Typically, supplies were made to the non-regular bunker port of Paradip only by Road Tanker Wagons (RTW) and for small volumes.

Bomin Affirms Commitment to Baltic Bunkering Market

The Bomin Group, a global physical supplier and trader of marine fuel oil, today reaffirmed its commitment to providing physical bunkering products and services in the Baltic, including Rostock, Germany’s largest Baltic port. In line with the company’s new regional hub structure, Bomin’s Hamburg office will take responsibility for physical operations and infrastructure in the region. Bomin Launches Physical Operation in Mauritius

Physical supplier and trader of marine fuel oil the Bomin Group is launching a physical operation in Port Louis, Mauritius, effective from July 12, 2016. Bomin (Mauritius) Ltd. will utilize the 2008-build, double-hulled bunker barge MT Hakkasan to provide customers with products, including IFO 180cst, as well as MGO. All deliveries will be provided under a Bomin specific Bunker Delivery Note (BDN). “Port Louis is the only official port of entry and exit for sea vessels in Mauritius, and it is critical that we have a strong physical presence here to support our customers and our global network,” said Jan Christensen, Global Head of Bunker Operations, Bomin Group.

Bomin Launches Bunker Operations in Copenhagen

CEPSA Panama New Barge, Port of Cristobal

CEPSA Panamá, consolidated as physical supplier of marine fuel at both sides of the Panama Canal, set up a new barge at the port of Cristobal. The Panabunker-Once started operations Jan. 22 2009. The barge supplies the container terminal of Port of Manzanillo, all other port terminals along the Atlantic sector and the anchorage area of Port of Cristobal. The Panabunker-Once is a double-hull barge. This new acquisition, together with the Panabunker-Diez and the Panabunker-Uno at the Pacific coast, represent a total of 11,000 MT of marine fuel supply capacity.

Aegean to Acquire Verbeke Bunkering N.V.

Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. (NYSE:ANW) announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Verbeke Bunkering N.V., a physical supplier of marine fuel in the Antwerp-Rotterdam-Amsterdam (ARA) region, the world's second largest bunkering market. The acquisition, which is subject to the completion of detailed documentation, is scheduled to close by the end of the first quarter of 2010. Verbeke Bunkering is majority owned by the fourth generation of the Verbeke family, which has an operating history of more than 100 years initially in shipping and subsequently in bunkering. As a physical supplier, Verbeke Bunkering covers the entire ARA region, including key ports surrounding Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam such as Ghent, Zeebruges, Flushing, Terneuzen, and Sluiskil.

Fratelli Cosulich Develops Bunker Chain

Fratelli Cosulich has taken a further step in its strategy to become a fully fledged physical bunker supplier controlling the whole chain by taking delivery of the third of its new high capacity bunker tankers. The 6,500 dwt Emma Cosulich was delivered last week from China's Sopo shipyard at Zhengjiang and follows two similar vessels, the Maria Cosulich and the Teresa Cosulich, which are currently operating in the port of Singapore as bunker barges. Investment in the barges was the first step in extending control of the bunker chain. Currently Fratelli Cosulich is negotiating storage facilities in Singapore and plans to buy full cargoes of bunker fuel from Middle East producers.

Chemoil to Supply Bunkers in Panama Canal

Chemoil Corporation will soon start supplying bunkers in the Panama Canal. Chemoil plans to be a physical supplier in both Cristobal and Balboa by the middle of March, 2003. Further details of this new operation will be available at the beginning of March.
