Boston to Host AVEVA World Summit 2013
AVEVA announced that the AVEVA World Summit 2013 is being held from October 30 to November 1 in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S. Customers from across the world’s process plant, power and marine industries are invited to the Summit, which is once again being held as a single global event. “Responding to delegate input, we have evolved the Summit to include dedicated agendas for plant Owner Operators, EPCs and shipbuilders” explained Mat Truche-Gordon, Executive Vice-President, Business Strategy and Marketing.
Aveva Acquires Global Majic’s Simulation Software Suite

Aveva has announced the acquisition of all assets relating to the advanced visualisation and simulation software of Global Majic Software, Inc. (GMS). This strategic acquisition includes all Intellectual Property Rights which will be used to support Aveva’s growing simulation offering for plant Owner Operators. AVEVA Strategic Initiative in China
AVEVA has restructured its Chinese operations into two operational divisions. The move will dedicate AVEVA’s VANTAGE engineering solutions and personnel to the unique requirements associated with each of the industry sectors; delivering solutions, support and consultancy more effectively. The two divisions will be run from AVEVA's Asia Pacific operation and headed by: Ms Liu Xiao Bin, Vice President, for the Guangzhou-based China Process and Power Division; and Ms Zhou Chun, Vice President, for the Shanghai-based China Marine Division.
