Crew Systems Integration 2013 Program Announced

FRC International will host CSI 2013 - Crew Systems Integration conference from July 2-4, 2013 at RNLI Lifeboat College, Poole, U.K. The international conference includes over 20 presentations focusing on nine integrated topics for the RIB and high speed craft sector. Dr. Trevor Dobbins, Technical Director of FRC International, said, “The CSI concept brings together integrated topics which can improve RIB & HSC operations. Crew Systems Integration (CSI) is now a recognized requirement for many maritime organizations and CSI 2013 will cover a wide range of solutions for the professional sector.

GeoVS Installs Vessel Management System in Poole Harbor

GeoVS was awarded a contract to supply and install its system in Poole Harbor, Dorset. The system brings a step change in monitoring and managing ship movements in ports and restricted waterways. Dr. Rafal Goralski, Technical Director of GeoVS, a University of Glamorgan spin off company, explained the system is particularly appropriate for Poole Harbor, a growing port with a narrow entrance and restricted channel leading to its cargo quays. ISS Appoints New VP, Operations for Europe and North Africa

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) appointed Clive Lane as Vice President of Operations for Europe and North Africa. In his new role, Clive will be responsible for delivering exceptional services to ISS customers and ensuring optimal operational performance in the region. Prior to joining ISS he was Ports Liaison Policy Lead for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
