Lukoil Sets up Ship-to-ship Russian Oil Loadings Near Kaliningrad

Russia's second-largest oil producer Lukoil has set up ship-to-ship (STS) loadings of Urals oil near the western port of Kaliningrad, Refinitiv Eikon data showed and trading sources told Reuters on Wednesday.The data shows 100,000 tonnes of Urals crude was loaded on the Andaman Skies tanker at the Baltic port of Primorsk on Feb. 11.

Second Russian Pipe-layer Moves to Nord Stream 2 Gas Pipeline Site

A Russian pipe-laying vessel, Fortuna, has arrived at the construction site of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea, Refinitiv Eikon data showed on Friday, with work on the project set to resume.There are also several procurement vessels near the site, according to the data.The Akademik Cherskiy, another, more modern pipe-laying vessel which had arrived at the site north of the German and Polish coasts last week, has since moved away and is now drifting near the Russian port of Kaliningrad.Nord Stream 2 has repeatedly declined to comment on which vessel will lay the pipes and when exactly works to construct the pipeline, which will run from Russia to Europe across the Baltic Seaā€¦

Nord Stream 2 Pipelaying Vessel Nears Project Hub

Russia's First FSRU to Arrive at Kaliningrad to Start Up LNG Imports

Russia's first liquefied natural gas (LNG) floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) is expected to dock at the port of Kaliningrad on Dec. 18, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters.The FSRU, called Marshal Vasilevskiy, is being installed at Kaliningrad - a city separated from Russia and bordering with Lithuania and Poland - by Russian energy major Gazprom in a move to bypass pipeline gas deliveries via Lithuania in case there are any disruptions in gas transit.The FSRU will be the first LNG import facility in Russia, the worldā€™s second largest gas producer.The vessel is currently anchored outside the port of Kaliningradā€¦

Russian Ship Collides with Icelandic Coast Guard Vessels

The Russian tall ship Kruzenshtern collided with the Icelandic Coastguard patrol ships Þór and Týr, which were docked at the quayside. Both Icelandic vessels sustained damage. ā€œThese things can happen when a big ship is approaching the quay, or leaving it. Nobody was injured,ā€ the Coastguardā€™s Ásgrímur Ásgrímsson told Vísir, philosophically. ā€œThe police have been called and the maritime accident investigators and witness statements have been taken. The incident took place on June 11 when the ship was on her way out of the port. The STS Kruzenshtern, which has been docked in Reykjavík Harbour for the past few days, was on its way out when it ran into trouble. All the three ships were damaged.

RS Assesses Risk of Submarine Transit

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) under the cooperation with ŠžŠŠž SOGAZ has carried out a risk safety appraisal of the submarine Ho Chi Minh for the Vietnamese Navy during its sea transit from the port of St Petersburg to the port of Kaliningrad.
