Iranian Ship Arrives at Venezuelan Port

An Iranian ship arrived at the Venezuelan port of La Guaira on Thursday, according to Refinitiv Eikon data, in what appeared to be a continuation of the commercial alliance between the two countries targeted by U.S. sanctions.Iran has been supplying gasoline to ease fuel shortages in Venezuela caused by decay of the South American nation's refineries and worsened by sanctions. It has also shipped food to help the government of President Nicolas Maduro.The Iranian-flagged general cargo ship Golsan, owned by Mosakhar Darya Shipping Co, left Iran in late November, according to Eikon data.It was not immediately evident what cargo it was carrying.Venezuela's information ministry did not reply to a request for comment.

Iranian Ship Reaches Venezuela with Cargo of Food

An Iranian ship was approaching the Venezuelan port of La Guaira on Sunday with a cargo of food that will supply the South American nation’s first Iranian supermarket, according to Refinitiv Eikon and Iran’s embassy in Venezuela.Iran supplied 1.5 million barrels of fuel to Venezuela last month amid a collapse of refinery operations and tightening sanctions by the United States that has made it more difficult for Venezuela to obtain fuel on international markets.The Iranian-flagged general cargo ship Golsan, owned by Mosakhar Darya Shipping Co, departed on May 15 from Bandar Abbas. Venezuelan Detains More than 30 PDVSA Workers

China Navy Ship Makes Maiden Visit to Venezuela

Cargotec Wins Equipment Contract in Venezuela

Kalmar DRF100-54 reachstackers

Cargotec has won an order to supply 54 Kalmar port equipment to Venezuelan customer Bolivariana de Puertos, S.A. The order includes 24 Kalmar DRF 450-65 reachstackers, 4 Kalmar DRF100-54 reachstackers for empty container handling, 19 Kalmar Ottawa 4x2 terminal tractors, 3 Kalmar DCF80-45 masted empty container handlers and 4 Kalmar DCE160-12 lift trucks. All equipment will be delivered during year 2011. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the order that has been booked in the third quarter of 2011.

Austal Delivers Lilia Concepcion Ferry

Ferry services to Venezuela's Margarita Island will be further revolutionised with the delivery of a second 86m vehicle/passenger catamaran to Conferry. Built in Western Australia by Austal Ships, "Lilia Concepcion" will join a fleet that already includes a similar Austal fast ferry, "Carmen Ernestina", delivered in 1999. Austal's Managing Director, Mr Bob McKinnon said, "Every delivery is a special occasion for Austal, but the fact that Conferry has returned to us for this second vessel makes this delivery especially satisfying. "A repeat order from such an experienced and reputable operator is a tremendous vote of confidence in Austal and the ships we build," Mr McKinnon said.
