PGS Kicks Off 3D Seismic Survey Off Angola

Norwegian marine seismic data firm PGS, in partnership with Angola's ANPG, has started a new MultiClient 3D survey in the Lower Congo Basin, near the river plume of the Congo in Angola Block 1/14. The acquisition phase will continue until April and fast-track data is expected in October 2021, the company said Monday. PGS said the survey was fully prefunded.As part ot the survey, the Ramform Atlas vessel is acquiring high-density 3D GeoStreamer data using a 10 x 8 025 m streamer spread.

PGS Releases 3D GeoStreamer Survey Data

Norwegian seismic services provider Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) said that beam migrated data is now available for viewing on its latest 3D GeoStreamer seismic survey over Angola blocks for the 2021 bid round.Modern imaging will unlock links between onshore and offshore presalt and postsalt plays.ā€œOur initial coverage of shallow blocks six to eight will allow interested E&P companies a head start on de-risking prospectivity of the area ahead of bid submissions in 2021ā€, says Christine Roche, New Ventures Manager for PGS in Angola.Commercial, strategic and technical benefits are available to early participants in the survey. Petrobras Sees Higher Oil Exports as Presalt Fields Develop

Brazilian government-controlled Petroleo Brasileiro SA expects higher oil exports this year than initial projections, Guilherme França, executive manager of trade and marketing, said Wednesday. Petrobras expects oil exports to reach 742,000 bpd by 2021 as the company advances development of its pre-salt oil reserves, which are capable of producing lighter varieties which are demanded internationally, França said. In March, França told Reuters in an interview that the company's oil exports would reach 450,000 bpd this year. That estimate has now been revised to 503,000 bpd, according to the executive. China is the company's main client, accounting for 56 percent of Petrobras's exports in the first quarter.

Deltamarin Designs the Libra FPSO

Deltamarin Ltd. has entered into a contract with Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd for the basic engineering of the Libra FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading unit). Deltamarinā€™s scope of work covers the marine part of the Navion Norvegia shuttle tanker conversion into the Libra FPSO. The conversion shall be performed at the Singaporean Jurong Shipyard, whose customer is OOGTK Libra GmbH & Co KG, a 50/50 joint venture between Odebrecht Oil & Gas and Teekay Offshore. The joint venture company works as the lead commercial bidder for the Brazilian energy company Petrobras on the Libra project. The vessel is expected to be owned and operatedā€¦

Brazilā€™s Offshore ā€˜Whale Parkā€™ a Key Maersk Oil 2013 Project

The ā€˜Whale Parkā€™ complex of oil fields, located just north of Itaipu and Wahoo, offshore Brazil, illustrate the quality of the Brazilian presalt in this area, and here Maersk Oil say they have secured access under legacy terms with significant value potential. Maersk Oil explain that they entered Brazil in 2001 and since then have expanded their footprint in the offshore Campos Basin through licensing rounds and acquisitions. Up to the first quarter of 2013, Maersk Oil has drilled four wells as operator and participated as partner in 13 other wells.

ABS hosted its Annual Meeting in New York on April 23, 2013. ABS Chairman, Robert D. In 2012, the ABS-classed fleet reached 193.5 million gross tons, a growth rate of more than 4% year-on-year. ABS also maintained its leading position in the global orderbook with 21% of all vessels on order designated for ABS class. With nearly 70% of all vessels aged ten years or less, ABS has one of the youngest fleets showing a strong foundation for a successful future of the organization.
