Damen Delivers Stan Tug to Caspian Offshore

Caspian Offshore Construction has recently taken delivery of a Damen Stan Tug 1606 ICE class in Kazakhstan. The company turned to Damen when a contract they secured required fast delivery of a small ice class vessel.Damen was able to have the vessel – named Caspian Flora – underway to the client just six weeks following contract signing.The vessel was built at Damen Shipyards Changde in China, to a design that has proven enormously successful, with over 80 sold in the last fifteen years alone.

In October 2014 the first phase of the pile testing campaign for the Wikinger offshore wind farm project was launched after the site’s geotechnical investigation on the Baltic Sea had been completed. German engineering and services group Bilfinger was awarded the test pile contract and chose SAL Heavy Lift as subcontractor to transport and install the test piles and equipment with their DP Class II vessel MV Lone. Monster Barge in Port Abidjan Serviced by GAC-OMA

The massive installation barge 'Hyundai 60' weighs in at 34,125t, is 187m long, equipped with a 1,800t crane, and was earlier engaged in pipe-laying & offshore installation works off the coast of Escravos. GAC Nigeria, with its local partner OMA Ivory Coast. says it provided a range of ship agency, husbandry & logistics services for her and her attendant fleet of support vessels in the Port of Abidjan. The barge was demobilised and moved to Abidjan for maintenance work while she's being held in stand-by until she is needed for the next phase starting in October 2014. Upon arrival, GAC worked with TRACE-certified local partner OMA Ivory Coast to provide the range of agency, supplies, crew and logistics support the 'Hyundai 60' needed for her stay in port.

Hyundai to Build Innovative Offshore Vessel for Toisa

Toisa Ltd. signed a contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI for the construction of a Multipurpose Offshore Construction Vessel (MOCV) designed by Ulstein. Bibby Charters Offshore Support Vessel

Bibby Offshore Limited has entered into a long- term agreement to charter a new building 94 metre DSV/Construction Support vessel, built in Norway’s Aker Langsten Shipyard. The state of the art vessel, to be named Bibby Sapphire, is owned by Volstad Maritime AS. She will be available to the North Sea construction market from early August 2005, and her future deployment is currently being discussed with interested parties. Following the addition of a full 15 man Saturation Diving system, the vessel will also be available for diving work from the start of 2006. The DSV will be the first vessel of its kind to enter the North Sea region for some years and shows the commitment of this dynamic new player demonstrates Bibby Offshore’s commitment to this market.
