Wärtsilä Lifecycle Agreement for Installation Vessel Green Jade
Wärtsilä reports it has signed a long-term Guaranteed Asset Performance agreement with CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering Co Ltd (CDWE), a joint venture between CSBC Corporation and DEME Offshore. The agreement covers CDWE’s new 216 meters-long installation vessel, the Green Jade. Wärtsilä Thrusters on Sea Trials for Large SSCV
Performance of the propulsion solutions supplied by the technology group Wärtsilä exceeded the design specification and contributed to the success of the sea trials for the world’s largest semi-submersible crane vessel (SSCV). The ‘Sleipnir’ was built at Sembcorp Marine’s Tuas Boulevard Yard in Singapore for the Dutch offshore contractor Heerema Offshore Services (HOS). It was delivered from the yard in July.The huge vessel is designed for heavy lifting operations and is fitted with two cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 10,000 metric tonnes.
Wärtsilä to Assist Transocean with Thruster Maintenance
Wärtsilä and Transocean will optimize the maintenance of all Wärtsilä thrusters installed within the Transocean fleet, while seeking to reduce dry-docking costs by extending the service intervals of the thrusters. Wärtsilä to Optimize Performance for Songa Offshore Drill Rigs
The technology group Wärtsilä has signed a five-year technical management and services agreement with Songa Offshore for four Cat-D type semi-submersible drilling rigs operating in the North Sea. Through the partnership with Wärtsilä, Songa Offshore ensures optimal performance and maximum availability of the Wärtsilä engines and thrusters on board the drilling rigs, which operate in extremely harsh conditions. This is possible with real-time knowledge of the actual condition of the equipment, provided by Wärtsilä's digital offering.

Wärtsilä expanded its offering in propulsion monitoring services. The Wärtsilä Propulsion Condition Monitoring Service (PCMS), introduced to the market in 2010, will now feature expanded functionalities and is now available in two editions - PCMS Starter and PCMS Professional. The need for certainty of operations and long-term maintenance planning is fulfilled with a new functionality - Dynamic Lifetime Prognosis (DLP). Wärtsilä’s Propulsion CMS recognized by 3 Classification Societies
Wärtsilä has received service level recognition for its Propulsion Condition Monitoring Service (PCMS) by DNV-GL. Wärtsilä is the first company to attain this type of recognition from three of the major classification societies, namely the American Bureau of Shipping, Lloyd’s Register, and DNV-GL. The approval, which was received in February 2014, means that surveyors from the classification societies may rely on Wärtsilä’s PCMS when assessing propulsion equipment. Wärtsilä announced the launch of a unique Propulsion Condition Monitoring Service (PCMS), designed to provide customers with real-time data and advanced analytics on the condition of a vessel's propulsion equipment. Ship owners will have access to information and analysis needed to ensure that propulsion systems operate at peak efficiency throughout their lifecycle. PCMS allows ship operators to prevent damage and lower life cycle costs, as well as limit their vessel's environmental impact by keeping propulsion systems operating at high efficiency. The need for periodical inspection of propulsion equipment can be eliminated by successfully integrating PCMS in the maintenance program.
