Stork Announces Two New Appointments

Dave Workman, Chief Operating Officer and Erik-Jan Bijvank, Senior Vice President

Stork Technical Services has appointed Dave Workman to the new position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Erik-Jan Bijvank as Senior Vice President (SVP) UK and Africa. Mr Workman and Mr Bijvank will both be based in Aberdeen, UK, which is the operational hub for the company’s upstream oil & gas business, and take on their respective roles with immediate effect. As COO, Mr Workman will oversee all operational matters and help drive Stork’s global growth plans across the company’s four key regions; UK & Africa, Continental Europe, MECAP (Middle East, Caspian, Asia-Pacific) and the Americas.

Stork Technical Services lands major West Africa subsea inspection project. Stork Technical Services (Stork), the leading global provider of knowledge-based asset integrity management services for the chemical, oil and gas and power sectors, today announces a major £10million contract win for subsea inspection activity with a major operator, offshore West Africa. Stork announced the contract at the Subsea 2012 exhibition, where the company is exhibiting for the first time on stand A25 on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 February 2012 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Stork Technical Services, the leading global provider of knowledge-based asset integrity management services for the chemical, oil and gas and power sectors, today announces its rebrand of the RBG group, following the company’s acquisition in May 2011. The rebranding takes place on the same day that the group unveils a £25million pound two-year contract extension with a major North Sea operator that will generate around 30 new offshore positions in 2012.

RBG Appoints New Finance Director

Mr Sharma is responsible for leading RBG’s global financial management, planning, controls and reporting, as the company enters a period of growth and integration with STS. A qualified chartered accountant with an MBA from London Business School, Mr Sharma joins RBG with more than 25 years finance experience and is based at the company’s Aberdeen, UK headquarters.

RBG Targets Kazahstan Growth with Appointment

RBG has operated in Kazakhstan since 2006 and Henderson is responsible for leading and growing the company’s in-country operations. RBG to Provide Inspection Services for Chevron

RBG, a provider of assess, inspect and repair (AIR) services for the global energy industry, has been awarded a three year contract  to provide Chevron North Sea Limited with global QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) inspection services. RBG provided similar inspection services to Chevron since 2002. The contract involves the provision of both full-time and ad-hoc quality personnel, including principal and senior QA/QC inspectors, which deliver expert third party vendor inspection services for Chevron onshore and offshore, across the UK, Continental Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific. GEOSHIPS Acquisition, Doubling of Staff

Aberdeen-based SeaHold GEOSHIPS Limited (GEOSHIPS) has announced the acquisition of marine management services company Brooklyn Shipping Ltd (BSL). The acquisition is expected to lead to BSL’s staff numbers more than doubling to 80 this year and also contribute to a significant increase in GEOSHIPS’ pre-tax earnings on its projected turnover of nearly £50million for 2012. Formed in 2003, GEOSHIPS has a strong focus on offshore renewable energy projects, whilst also being able to offer services in support of subsea oil and gas related projects. It chartered its first multi-purpose offshore vessel, the Stril Explorer, from Mokster A/S until 31st August 2012 to support the growing offshore renewable energy market and the subsea sector.

RBG Completes Rigid-Hulled Inflation Boat for Chevron

RBG, provider of fabric maintenance and construction support to the global energy industry, has completed a contract worth approximately $616,100 for Acergy, for the provision of Rigid-Hulled Inflation Boat (RHIB) dive services and project support. RBG was commissioned to support the removal and replacement of one of the fairleads from the Chevron Upstream Europe (Chevron) owned Captain FPSO. Deployed from the Acergy-chartered vessel, Far Saga, combined activities included diving, installation of subsea rigging and ROV services.

RBG First with Chevron North Sea Contract

RBG, provider of fabric maintenance and construction support to the global energy industry, will deliver its innovative electrical rope access services as part of a new three-year contract with Chevron North Sea. Working on the Alba, Captain and Erskine platforms located in the UKCS, RBG will carry out vital electrical inspection and upgrades across the platforms. As the only electrical contractor with an in-house rope access capability, the company can deliver electrical technicians to all those places that require scaffold, but using rope access techniques instead. The contract, worth a total of $1.7m, will also use level three trained rope access technicians for all safety supervision.

New RBG Gulf of Mexico Service Centre

RBG, provider of fabric maintenance and construction support to the global energy industry, expanded its Gulf of Mexico (GOM) operations with the opening of a new service centre in Lafayette, USA. RBG has been operating in the region since 1999 and the move comes after the company outgrew its previous facility, also located in Lafayette. The new base will increase capacity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness for clients, while supporting RBG’s continued growth in coating and cleaning services to offshore and onshore clients in the region. The 18,000 sq ft site, which houses indoor storage, training and administrative facilities, will offer RBG’s full range of Fabric Maintenance services including blasting and coatings, specialist cleaning, insulation and scaffolding.

RBG Enhanced Service Offering

RBG Limited, provider of fabric maintenance and construction support to the global energy industry, launched a new range of products and services enhancing the company’s marine and subsea capability. RBG’s new, diver friendly hydraulic lightweight flange pulling tool is used to aid the safe and efficient assembly of flanged connections prior to the application of bolts. The compact device is operated either by a hand pump or remotely powered hydraulic unit and can pull flanges from distances up to of 600mm, with an applied force of 20 tonnes. To complement the new flange tooling, the company also launched its upgraded Flange Management Software. The system advises on the correct bolt torque and tension values by recording flange behavior, modifications and long-term activity.

John Jordan, the incumbent CEO, is standing down from the role and will be leaving the group.
