Camera Systems Installed Across Wilson Sons' Tug Fleet

Brazilian port and maritime logistics operator Wilson Sons is installing internet and camera systems on its tug fleet to allow real-time visualization of operations and maneuvers, including by customers.Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) and Network Cabling project was developed by the company's innovation laboratory Tuglab, in partnership with the IT management of the company’s towage division.In total, 480 cameras and local internet network will be installed. Macsea's Fuel Vision announces that its system now works with KRAL rotary displacement flow meters for high-accuracy fuel monitoring. By combining Dexter Fuel Vision with the KRAL flowmeter, fuel data acquired aboard ships can be displayed in real-time throughout the vessel and also sent ashore to track fleet-wide energy conservation and emissions reduction efforts. Energy saving is a mandate in today’s shipping business climate and will likely continue well into the foreseeable future.

Echoscope 3D Sonar Adopted by Fugro Chance

Fugro Chance adopts the Coda Echoscope(R) to help in some of Its complex offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Coda Octopus Group, Inc. announce that following extensive and successful trials, Fugro Chance in Houston, Texas and Lafayette, Louisiana have purchased and rented a number of Coda Octopus real-time patented sonars, the Echoscope(R), which have now been delivered. The dual frequency Echoscope(R), with a number of recent enhancements, has proven to be invaluable in a range of complex operations undertaken by Fugro Chance, due to its real time 3D imaging capabilities which allow users to see their environment even in zero visibility conditions.
