Brennan Opens a New Location in Paducah, Ky.

La Crosse, Wis.-based dredging, diving and marine construction company J.F. Brennan Company said it established a permanent Mid-South Region presence in Paducah, Ky., and will provide all Brennan services, including above and below-water construction and environmental remediation services.The Mid-South team consists of locals in the area and is under the leadership of Robert "Bob" Wheeler, who recently joined Brennan from Shimmick Construction Company, Inc. and most notably worked on the Olmsted Lock & Dam and the LaGrange Lock & Dam Major Rehabilitation projects, both operated by the U.S.

Mike Hooks Orders New Dredge at MPW

Mike Hooks, LLC has signed a deal with Mobile, Ala. fabricator Mobile Pulley Works (MPW) to design and build a new 27-inch cutter suction dredge (CSD).The new CSD Lorraine Hooks is being designed to the latest industry standards to maximize safety, comfort, and efficiency. The dredge will house on-board crew accommodations to provide comfort and convenience for personnel while they are onboard. The new accommodations and lever control room will be constructed on vibration mounts to reduce fatigue caused by harmonic vibrations and noise levels.

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Names Petterson CEO

Effective May 1, Lasse Petterson has assumed the role of chief executive officer (CEO), a provider of dredging, environmental and remediation services. In his over 35-year career, Petterson has gained extensive experience in the engineering, construction and maritime industries. His international experience includes time working and living in Norway, Asia and the U.K. to oversee operations and major projects in Australia, Middle East and South America. Most recently, Petterson served as a private consultant to clients in the oil and gas sector. Petterson served as chief operating officer (COO) and executive vice president at Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I) from 2009 to 2013. Prior to CB&I, Petterson was CEO of Gearbulk, Ltd.

Levenson Appointed Director, Great Lakes

The Board of Directors of Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental and remediation services, announced today that Ryan Levenson has been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective December 27, 2016. Mr. Levenson has also been appointed to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Concurrent with the 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, the size of the class of directors of the Board with a term expiring at such meeting shall automatically decrease from three to two members. In addition, subject to certain exceptions, Great Lakes has agreed to include Mr. Levenson on the Company’s slate of nominees for the election of directors at the 2017 Annual Meeting.

Petterson Named Great Lakes CEO

The Board of Directors of Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation, provider of dredging, environmental and remediation services, announced the selection of Lasse Petterson as CEO, as well as his appointment to the company’s board of directors. Petterson will join the Board immediately and assume the role of chief executive officer once his application for U.S. citizenship, as required by the Jones Act, is finalized, which is expected in Q1 2017. During this time, Lasse and current CEO Jonathan Berger will work to ensure a seamless transition. Petterson brings to the role 35 years of experience in the engineering, construction and maritime industries.

GLDD Completes Suez Contract

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation, the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental and remediation services, announced today that it will participate in the events planned to celebrate the recent completion of the New Suez Canal Project in Egypt, which will allow two way traffic by creating a parallel channel alongside 70 kilometers of the existing Canal. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled today August 6, 2015. Great Lakes, along with its Consortium partner Dredging International NV, was responsible for dredging approximately 40 million cubic meters to -24m depth along a 29.5 kilometer stretch of the Canal for a contract value of US$600 million.

GLDD to Widen Freeport Harbor Ship Channel

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD) says it has been awarded a a dredging contract valued at over $30 million to widen the entrance and jetty channels of the Freeport Ship Channel near Freeport, Texas. Approximately 4.5 miles of channel will be widened by 200 feet, enabling larger ships to safely navigate the 600 feet-wide channel. A portion of the dredged material is planned to be beneficially used to nourish the coastline in Quintana, TX. Work on the project is scheduled to commence in October 2014. GLDD Report Solid Q2 2014 Dredging Sector Performance

For the three months ended June 30, 2014, Great Lakes reported Revenue of $184.7 million, Income from continuing operations of $3.9 million and Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations of $19.8 million. "Dredging had a solid quarter with $157.1 million in revenue, driven by increased activity in all of our domestic markets, and improved gross profit margin to 14.4%. During the second quarter, we benefited from improved weather and higher productivity as well as greater fixed cost coverage. Bahrain US$35-M Land Reclamation Contract for GLDD

Provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental & remediation services, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD) says it has been awarded the contract with the Ministry of Works in Bahrain. It encompasses phases one and two of a development project within Hidd Port. Under this contract, Great Lakes will dredge 5.8 million cubic meters to build a 156 acre footprint on which a factory and additional facilities will be built. Great Lakes explains it has worked closely with both the Government of Bahrain and investors over the last 15 years to successfully deliver many significant projects in Bahrain. The company is looking forward to being involved in another strategic project for the Government.

GLDD Appoint Mark Marinko Senior V-P & CFO

GLDD Sells Historic Demolition Business

Largest provider of dredging services in the United States, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD) informs it has completed the sale of NASDI, LLC and Yankee Environmental Services, LLC, its two subsidiaries that comprise the historical demolition business, to a privately owned demolition company located in the Midwest for US$5.3 million. GLDD points out that it retains the right to collect all outstanding accounts receivable and work in process at the date of close, as well as any outstanding claims, and retains certain obligations, including obligations related to performance bonds issued for existing projects. The Company also retained a significant remediation project that will be performed by its Terra subsidiary.

Lake Decatur Dredging Contract for GLDD

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD) says it has signed an US$89 million contract with the City of Decatur (IL) to provide dredging services to increase the capacity of Lake Decatur. Lake Decatur, the largest lake on the Sangamon River, was created after the river was dammed in 1922. The reservoir serves as the primary raw water source for Decatur’s 76,000 residents and large industrial sector. In recent years, the city has been forced to enact water restrictions due to low water levels and drought conditions.

Miami Harbor Dredging: GLDD Receives Further US$51.9-million

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD), says it has received the payment from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Jacksonville District which will bring the total value of GLDD’s Miami contract up to $174.1 million. There is $31.6 million remaining to be awarded under the current plan of the Corps. This option, which is the first of two options for the project, covers the dredging of Fisherman's Channel and Lummus Island Turning Basin, as well as dredging the adjacent berthing areas.

GLDD Q2 2013 Results: Demolition Segment Strategy for Review

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (GLDD) the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of commercial and industrial demolition and remediation services, report financial results for the 3 and 6 months ended June 30, 2013. Jonathan Berger, Chief Executive Officer stated, “For the three months ended June 30, 2013, Great Lakes reported Revenue of $152.9 million, a Net Loss of $25.2 million and Adjusted EBITDA of $11.0 million. Included in the Net Loss is a $21.5 million noncash charge for goodwill impairment related to the demolition segment. “Our dredging segment won $346 million or 62% of the domestic bid market through the first six months of 2013.

ENPRO Renews Environmental Services Contract with USCG

ENPRO Services, Inc., a firm specializing in the management of oil and hazardous waste, announced the extension of their long-standing contract to provide environmental services to the United States Coast Guard. The services ENPRO provides to the Coast Guard include containment, mitigation and cleanup of oil and hazardous material spills in New England waterways. ENPRO also holds certifications with the Coast Guard as a pre-qualified Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) and ship-to-shore transfer contractor for the First Coast Guard District, which includes Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Vermont.

Athens Group Expansion and Hiring Initiative

Athens Group made three announcements: the opening of their office in Geoje, South Korea, two management promotions relative to their geographical expansion, and a major hiring initiative designed to meet the growing demand for their risk mitigation and problem remediation services for control systems on offshore assets. More high-specification assets are under construction in the Keppel FELS, SemCorp, Daewoo, and Samsung shipyards than there have been at any other time. Stallion Acquires BLR

Stallion Oilfield Services Ltd., a provider of fully-integrated drilling support services, has completed the acquisition of BLR Construction Companies, L.L.C., which is based in Louisiana and launches Stallion's entry into the land and marine well-site construction business. BLR provides location construction including board and composite mats for rig sites, production facility and pipeline construction, marine and crew services, heavy equipment services, remediation services and well site decommissioning. BLR's assets also include a fleet of barges, tugboats, and crew boats to support its marine operations; as well as other construction equipment.

SEACOR Q4 Results

SEACOR Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CKH) announced its results for the fourth quarter of 2009. Net income attributable to SEACOR Holdings Inc. for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 was $22.2 million, or $1.04 per diluted share, on operating revenues of $476.5 million. During the fourth quarter, the Company called and settled all of its outstanding 2.875% Convertible Senior Debentures due 2024 resulting in a debt extinguishment loss of $6.1 million, net of tax, or $0.26 per diluted share. For the preceding quarter ended September 30, 2009, net income attributable to SEACOR Holdings Inc. was $26.3 million, or $1.23 per diluted share, on operating revenues of $446.1 million. For the twelve months ended December 31, 2009, net income attributable to SEACOR Holdings Inc.
