Konecranes Debuts New Portal Cranes

Konecranes portal cranes have evolved into effective 21st century management tools. Konecranes, whose portal crane design has been a proven performer for nearly 40 years, continues to develop this workhorse crane for demanding applications and environments in the steel, forest products, intermodal, biomass/ pellet and concrete industries, the company said. Caterpillar Acquires ESRG Technologies

Caterpillar Marine has completed the acquisition of ESRG Technologies Group, LLC, a vessel monitoring and data analytics company in the marine industry. The acquisition includes ESRG’s software suite for the remote monitoring and diagnostics of more than 65 on-board systems as well as the expertise to provide meaningful recommendations to ship owners to help increase efficiency, reduce downtime on their vessels and assist shipyards in reducing warranty expenses. Caterpillar Marine has announced  it has completed the acquisition of ESRG Technologies Group, LLC, a vessel monitoring and data analytics leader in the marine industry. The acquisition includes ESRG’s comprehensive software suite for the remote monitoring and diagnostics of more than 65 on-board systems as well as the expertise to provide meaningful recommendations to ship owners to help increase efficiency, reduce downtime on their vessels and assist shipyards in reducing warranty expenses.

Wärtsilä Signs Support Agreement with Royal Caribbean

Wärtsilä has signed a five year maintenance support agreement with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. It is a joint co-operation between Wärtsilä and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and its operating companies Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara Club Cruises. The maintenance support agreement contains a wide range of services, including maintenance planning, spare parts logistics optimization, the development and testing of engine components, fuel consumption optimization, as well as an advisory service for overhauls and workshop services.
