Expert Panel Set for LNG Marine Fuel Seminar

ECM Training Services, LLC, in conjunction with Galway Group, will hold an interactive training seminar entitled "Pursuing ECA Compliance: Is LNG as a Marine Fuel Viable?" September 22-23, 2015, at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Leading the discussions will be a distinguished group of industry experts who are influence the way LNG is used globally in a marine environment. ABS Elects New Council

At the 150th Annual Meeting of the Members of ABS, three industry leaders were elected to the ABS Council. Following the Annual Meeting, the ABS Council met and elected industry leaders to both its Marine and Offshore Technical Committees. Individuals serving on the ABS Council and the Technical Committees help guide the class society in fulfilling its mission of promoting the security of life, property and the natural environment. “Classification represents the concept of self-regulation for the marine and offshore industry,” said ABS President and CEO Christopher J. Wiernicki.

WISTA USA to hold Annual General Meeting in Houston

WISTA USA President Jeanne Grasso announced the 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Woman’s International Shipping and Trading Association USA (WISTA) will be held from May 9-11 in Houston. “This will be an important gathering of WISTA USA, as we project our future,” observed Jeanne Grasso, who is also a maritime partner at Blank Rome. The Annual General Meeting will focus on the goals of the organization, including its participation as part of an international association. Emphasis will be placed on raising WISTA’s profile within the shipping and trading communities to attract new members…
