Lotos Plant Launches Hull of Container Ship for Rensen
The first hull of a 1,450-ton container ship for the Dutch company Rensen Shipbuilding BV has been launched on the site of the Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association (Lotos'Plant). The ship is planned for the transportation of containers conforming to international standards.
New Ship Laid in Astrakhan for Dutch Owner
Lotos Yard (part of MNP Group) has laid the keel for Dutch Rensen Shipbuilding BV. The ship to be delivered by June 2007 is aimed for transporting both conventional dry cargoes and containers. Together with its sister ship also under construction at Lotos it will be deployed on inland water routes in Europe. Source: SeaNews
Boxship Body for Rensen Shipbuilding Launched
On October 26, 2006 the Astrakhan-based Lotos Shipyard incorporated into the group of companies Maritime, Oil and Gas Projects launched the hull of the river-going boxship of Marina" type. According to the construction contract signed with the Dutch company Rensen Shipbuilding BV in early 2006, the company is to build 6 boxships' hulls. The river-going boxship of Marina type is to be 110 meters long and 11.45 meters wide, 3.55 meters draft. The vessel is top be deployed in the European inland waters. Cargo Ship Hull For Rensen To Be Built
Nizhegorodsky Teplokhod Shipyard incorporated into the Sea and Gas projects signed a contract with the Rensen Shipbuilding B.V. for the construction of the fourth dry cargo ship hull of 164-ÐÒ project. The contract for the construction of the 3 hulls was signed in July 2005. The hulls are to be delivered until late 2006 for the further outfitting to Rotterdam.
