New RIB Delivered to Vermont State Police

The Vermont State Police Department Marine Division has taken delivery of a specialized RIBCRAFT 7.8 RIB built by RIBCRAFT, a U.S. manufacturer of professional grade rigid inflatable boats for safety professionals, law enforcement and military agencies. Ribcraft Delivers Patrol Boats to Vermont State Police

Ribcraft, the United States manufacturer of professional grade rigid inflatable boats for law enforcement, safety professionals, and military agencies, announced the recent delivery of two Ribcraft 6.5's to the Vermont State Police Marine Patrol. The RIBs will be used by the State Marine Patrol and SCUBA Team for patrols, dive operations, and general search and rescue applications on Lake Champlain. The two 21' RIBCRAFT 6.5's will provide the flexibility required for the varied mission requirements while still offering a large open stable platform for the dive team. The two professional grade RIBs feature a center console with bolster, aluminum T-top, an aft tow post, and an antenna arch with integrating folding dive ladder.

Moose Boats Awarded Fireboat Contract

Moose Boats, a boat designer and manufacturer in has been awarded a contract by the Lewes Fire Department (LFD) to build a 44-ft. Catamaran Fire Rescue Boat. Foss Selects Saab AIS Transpoders

Foss Maritime is equipping its fleet of 43 tugs with Saab TransponderTech R4 Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) transponders. The installations are being performed by Pacific Radar. The Saab R4 was introduced to the marine market in 2003. This year, Saab announced a major upgrade to the R4 AIS product with the addition of an embedded IMO-compliant GPS receiver. The company has also introduced an airborne AIS solution for use in coastal surveillance and search and rescue applications. Foss Maritime, based in Seattle, Washington, is the largest tug and barge operator on the U.S. West Coast.

Northport Fire Department Awards Moose Boats with Contract

Moose Boats, an aluminum boat manufacturer, has been awarded a contract from the Northport Fire Department, Northport, NY for a M2-33 outboard response boat. This is a 33.5 ft. all aluminum catamaran powered by twin 250 hp four-stroke Yamaha outboards. This vessel is designed to attain a top speed of over 37 knots, cruise at approximately 28 knots and will meet NY State Ambulance certification standards. The mission of this vessel is to provide quick response capabilities for marine emergencies in and around Northport’s harbor. In the past, the department has responded to boat accidents, tanker explosions, helicopter crashes and medical emergencies.
