Global Availability of Fleet Management Software Platform

Vessel tracking and asset/document management software, used by hundreds of U.S. commercial workboat and fishing customers,  is now available internationally for integration into existing partner applications. McMurdo Group, a company in end-to-end search and rescue (SAR) and maritime domain awareness (MDA) solutions, has announced that its fleet management software platform is now available worldwide for partners to integrate into their existing maritime applications and solutions. The McMurdo Group software platform, the most widely used vessel tracking and fleet management software in the U.S. commercial maritime market, will be demonstrated at the V-Tracks Vessel Tracking and Monitoring Conference in London (Radisson Blu Portman Hotel) February 27-28.

Intelsat Contributes Communications Infrastructure for Relief Efforts

Intelsat S.A., a provider of satellite services, has provided an update on its satellite capacity and other critical connectivities being used in a number of restoration initiatives in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan. Immediately after the disaster occurred, Intelsat began working with customers and partners to ensure that the necessary infrastructure and satellite capacity were in place to accelerate the restoration of vital communications for relief workers and businesses in the Philippines.

LRAD Corporation Receives LRAD 300X Order

LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), a provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), has announced  it has received a $323,000 order for LRAD 300X systems and support equipment. The LRAD 300X systems will be installed on Colombian Navy coastal defense patrol boats. "We're pleased to receive another follow-on order from Colombia, which highlights the opportunity for international sales growth of LRAD products," remarked Tom Brown, the Company's president and CEO. "The Colombian Navy will be employing the LRAD 300X systems to broadcast warnings and critical information to vessels from safe, stand off distances. Global Marine Networks introduced the GMN webXaccelerator for ship-to-shore and remote communications needs for the commercial fishing, marine transport, cruise ships, offshore oil rigs, and first-response communications coordination markets.
