Global Ports Signs 30 Year Deal in Antigua
Cruise port operator Global Ports Holding (GPH) has signed a 30-year concession agreement with the government of Antigua and Barbuda for cruise port operations in Antigua on an exclusive basis.The concession also includes certain retail outlets in the project area. Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal Posts Record Year

Goltens Ground Breaking at DMC
Dubai Maritime City (DMC), the world’s first purpose-built maritime centre, announced that ship repair and maintenance company Goltens carried out a ground breaking ceremony of its new office and workshop facility in DMC. The company has launched its business in the city, and laid the foundation stone for the construction of facilities dedicated to building and repairing ships. Goltens, which has a strong presence in the Middle East and across 21 locations around the globe, are under a long term Musataha ground development agreement with DMC for two plots within the DMC.

50-Year Deal Planned for Cruise Ship Terminal
Reports said that successful bidder for the two-berth cruise terminal at the old Kai Tak airport site in Hong Kong will have the right to operate the terminal and its supporting facilities for 50 years. The Economic Development and Labor Bureau Tuesday announced its decision to surrender the site to the private sector, saying it would be better suited to developing a competitive, world-class terminal in a short period of time. The berths must be able to accommodate "mega" vessels weighing up to 100,000 tons - a limit that will still rule out many of the industry's newer cruise ships. A third cruise berth, while also in the government plans, will undergo a separate tender exercise sometime in the future.
