Cole Appointed Beach Energy's Non-Executive Director

Beach Energy Limited announced that Mr Robert Cole will, on cessation of his employment with Beach on 14 October 2015, continue as a non-executive director of the company. Mr Cole will nominate for re-election as a non-executive director at the 2015 annual general meeting. Beach chairman, Mr Davis, said, “Whilst Rob Cole is unable to return to Adelaide to discharge a full time executive function for us he has agreed to continue in a role as a non-executive director. The qualities and experience of Rob that attracted Beach to appoint him as managing director in the first place make him an excellent appointment as a non-executive director. The board very much looks forward to working with Rob in that capacity.”

Cole Quits Beach Energy

Beach Energy Ltd announced today that Robert Cole resigned as Managing Director of the company. Mr Cole will remain with Beach until 14 October 2015 to allow for an orderly transition. As announced on 19 August 2015 Mr Cole has been on leave to attend to family matters in Perth. with Beach in Adelaide. He has accordingly resigned. In the  circumstances the Board has waived what would otherwise have been notice requirements under Mr Cole’s employment agreement. The company will commence the process of replacing Mr Cole. In the meantime, Mr Neil Gibbins will continue in the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer until a new Managing Director is appointed. Beach’s executive team and staff are committed to delivering on the new strategy announced on 12 August 2015.

Commuter Ferries for Manila’s Pasig River

Long considered a polluted ditch through the city, Manila’s Pasig River is being rehabilitated. Central to this endeavor is a ferry service that will include 15 terminals along a 10.5 mile route stretching from Intramuros near Manila Bay to Pasig City. The bid to operate the system was awarded in 2005 to a joint venture of Filipino groups led by Penta Captial Investment and the Australian Robert Cole of Sydneyside Cruises Ltd.
