Bourbon and Horizon Join Forces to Provide Offshore Vessel Services in North Sea and Canada

Arctic Oil: Bourbon to Enter Arctic Market in 2016

Bourbon plans to enter the growing Arctic Offshore market in 2016 with a new Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel built by the Vard shipyard. This AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) was specially designed for operations in polar waters, and more specifically in arctic zones, where we know that there is a huge potential for development, and the new vessel is the signal that the company is adjusting its range of services to meet the requirements of clients and the changing offshore market.

Bourbon and CGG Partner for Seismic Survey Success

Announced in June 2011, Bourbon and CGG entered a five-year charter agreement for a series of six custom newbuild seismic support vessels. Now more than two years later, the third ship in the series, Bourbon Gannet, is due to enter service in the early part of 2014, following the launch of the first two vessels, Bourbon Petrel and Bourbon Fulmar, in summer and autumn 2013, respectively. The remaining three sister vessels are under construction in Dubai’s Grandweld Shipyard, also slated for launch in 2014.

Bourbon and CGG: Partners in Innovation

In 2011, Bourbon entered a five-year charter agreement with CGG for a series of six new seismic support vessels, an industry first. Two years later, the Bourbon Petrel and the Bourbon Fulmar are already in service in the Black Sea and Northern Europe, and a third vessel, the Bourbon Gannet, will also be operational in the near future. Fourth Series of Offshore Vessels Joins Bourbon Fleet

A year after taking delivery of its last Bourbon 200 vessel and first Bourbon Liberty 300 vessel, Bourbon has extended its range of services with the Bourbon Liberty 151, the first vessel in a series of 15 PSVs. The first Bourbon Liberty 150 series vessel will operate for Maersk Oil and Qatar. Bourbon has been investing in a range of next generation built-in-series vessels since 2008. By the end of 2014, the group will be able to provide clients with an unprecedented series of 111 standardized, efficient and innovative Bourbon Liberty vessels devoted to offshore activities.

FSIV (Fast Support Intervention Vessels) 'Bourbon Sirocco' delivered & 'Bourbon Shamal' soon to be delivered. Designed by Piriou Ingénierie and Mauric Design, and built by the Piriou SEAS shipyard in Vietnam, this brand new series relies on the solid experience both companies have and on their long-term partnership with Bourbon, which in 2004 resulted in the very first FSIV (Fast Support Intervention Vessels) series in the BOURBON fleet; currently numbering 30 such vessels. These ships provide rapid assistance and can simultaneously carry urgent supplies and intervention teams.

Chinese Shipbuilding: New Bourbon 300 Series Debuts

Bourbon maintained its steady march forward to offshore dominance with a unique naming ceremony in China, which included the naming of Bourbon Liberty 254, the last of 54 vessel to be delivered of the Bourbon Liberty 200 series; and the naming of Bourbon Liberty 301, the first vessel of the Bourbon Liberty 300 series of 20 AHTS. The new Bourbon Liberty 300 AHTS has been designed and built by Sinopacific Zhejiang Co. of China. The vessel boasts a larger deck area and liquid capacity, driven by the need to service increasing number of deepwater energy projects.
