MacGregor Wins RoRo Cargo Access Equipment Order

MacGregor has won an order from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in South Korea for the design and delivery of MacGregor RoRo cargo access equipment. It is destined for a 180-meter logistics and support vessel (LSV) under construction at the yard for the Royal Norwegian Navy's Norwegian Defense Logistics Organization (NDLO). The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2016. The order was booked into the second quarter 2014 order intake. "MacGregor's long-standing presence in South Korea and its relationship with DSME proved positive in securing the order," said Karl-Axel Persson, Sales Manager, RoRo Systems. MacGregor's scope of supply includes a side ramp/door, a hoistable inner ramp, two lifting platforms for cargo (forward and aft) and trunk doors.

MacGregor to Provide Seven Stockholm RoRo Linkspans

UK's MacGregor, part of Cargotec, says it has secured a contract to supply 7 hydraulically-operated linkspans to the Port of Stockholm in Sweden. The linkspans have been ordered as part of a port development project to extend the capabilities of Stockholm's largest harbour, Värtahamnen and Kapellskär harbour. Five linkspan units will be installed in Värtahamen and two in Kapellskär. The contract contains a number of options for further units intended for other sites within the port. "The design of the linkspans is based on, and developed from, the best characteristics of a series of successful deliveries," says Clas Hedelin, Sales Manager, Port Solutions, RoRo Systems.

Cargotec Supplies MacGregor Access Equipment For Cruise Ships

Cargotec is supplying MacGregor access equipment for two cruise ships for MEYER WERFT, scheduled for delivery in 2013 and 2014. The contract includes passenger doors, tender platforms, shell doors and platforms for loading stores, bunkers and luggage, and for mooring operations, and the weight of the MacGregor equipment totals around 230 tonnes per shipset. "Each ship will be provided with MacGregor passenger access equipment which enables smooth and safe embarkation of passengers via the passenger entrance doors or embarkation platforms…
