Royal Doeksen Acquires Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam from Royal IHC

Royal IHC and Royal Doeksen reached an agreement on the acquisition of all shares in Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam, a continuation of IHC's plan hatched in mid-2020 to return its core business and divest itself of pieces that did not fit. The decision was taken that Vuyk, among others, would be divested.According to the companies involved the management of Vuyk was involved during the divestment process and is pleased to be a part of theRotterdam based Royal Doeksen. Royal Huisman Takes on Holland Jachtbouw Yard

Royal Huisman, a Dutch shipyard that specialises in the building and repair of sailing yachts, said that it will take over the Holland Jachtbouw facility in Amsterdam for further expansion.The facility, which entered the ownership of the Port of Amsterdam on May 14, will now be leased to Royal Huisman, which will dedicate the yard to its future new-build and refit projects."With the arrival of Royal Huisman, the port of Amsterdam has attracted yet another yacht manufacturer with a Royal Charter," said a release from Amsterdam port.Royal Huisman is the second superyacht manufacturer to join the port of Amsterdam community, following Feadship Royal van Lent, which opened its facilities there in 2016.

ShipConstructor 2014 R2.1, released from SSI, has been specifically designed to rapidly respond to emerging trends in ship design and engineering as identified by SSI's new Client Council program, the company said. NavCad 2011 Has New Features

New features for the industry-standard resistance and propulsion software. HydroComp NavCad is a software tool for the prediction and analysis of vessel speed and power performance. It also provides for the selection of suitable propulsion system components – engines, gears and propellers. HydroComp has been working since late 2009 on the development of a new architecture for NavCad, and improvements to the interface. This new platform was developed with an eye to the future, and will provide a new structure for future development.
