Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) announced today that the UK subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded, for the seventh successive year, the prestigious Order of Distinction Award for Occupational Health and Safety by the UK’s Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The award will be presented during a ceremony in London on 17 June. The Order of Distinction is RoSPA’s highest achievement award and is only presented to those companies which have attained at least 15 consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards for outstanding health and safety performance. Foster Wheeler has received twenty-one consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards.

International oilfield services company, Expro, has been recognized for the ninth consecutive year by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its outstanding global safety record. Expro has been awarded a RoSPA Commendation for excellence in health and safety at work within the oil and gas sector in the Society’s 2013 Awards. The company has received awards from RoSPA for the past nine years, achieving a gold award in 2005 and then winning the Oil & Gas sector award in 2006 and retaining it in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Northern Offshore, Ltd (“Northern Offshore”), operator of production and drilling vessels for the global offshore oil and gas industry, will be presented with a major safety accolade at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, later this year. Leading international oilfield service company Expro has achieved another safety milestone after it recorded 1,000 days without a lost time incident (LTI) at its base in Douala, Cameroon. More than 15 personnel work at the base which has been operational since November 2005. The achievement follows the recently-announced success in Expro’s Australasia region which recorded four years with no LTIs and was awarded the influential IFAP/CGU Safe Way Achiever Award at Gold level. Expro has won the Oil & Gas sector award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the past four years in succession, in recognition of its international safety standards and performance.
