Costa Concordia: Lawyers Maintain Owners Criminally Liable

Ronai & Ronai, LLP, a New York law firm that represents victims, including Sandor Feher, a musician who lost his life while trying to evacuate passengers, believes that the criminality of the deaths should also be placed on Costa Crociere/Carnival Corp., which was able to escape criminal liability simply because of their ability to pay a monetary fine. On July 20, 2013, five crew members of the Costa Concordia cruise ship were convicted of manslaughter for their role in the shipwreck in January 2012, which resulted in the deaths of 32 people.

Attorneys Press US$400-million Claim Against Cruise Company

New York law firm Ronai & Ronai file a compensation claim on behalf of a victim of the 'Costa Concordia' shipwreck. The federal lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of the family of Hungarian violinist Sandor Feher, seeking $400 million in damages for gross negligence against the cruise ship companies, Carnival PLC, Carnival Corporation and Costa Crociere, S.P.A. Sandor Feher, was a promising musician who died while trying to help evacuate other passengers after the occurrence. In the lawsuit, Ronai & Ronai, LLP,  also ask for punitive damages against the cruise companies…

Entertainers Sue Cruise Ship Owners for US$ 200-million

Attorneys file a lawsuit on behalf of four on-board musician victims of the Costa Concordia shipwreck A $US200 million ($A199.45 million) lawsuit has been filed in New York federal court on behalf of four Hungarian musicians and dancers aboard the Costa Concordia cruise ship that capsized off the coast of Italy in January, reports Sky News Australia. The lawsuit filed says the ensemble lost one of their members during the accident. Violinist Sandor Feher drowned while trying to help children put on life jackets. The lawsuit says the performers are unable to work after suffering physical and emotional injuries. Another lawsuit filed in Miami is seeking more than $US500 million in damages on behalf of dozens of plaintiffs.
