Harvey Gulf to Reflag Some Assets as it Expands International Reach

Harvey Gulf International Marine has confirmed that it is going global with the reflagging of both Offshore Supply and Fast Supply Vessels to facilitate work in Mexico.Harvey will open additional offices in Mexico through its affiliate, Harvey Gulf International Marine de Mexico S.A.P.I. de C.V. Seacor Orders Hybrid Power and DP Upgrades

Kongsberg has received an order to deliver unique ‘Full Picture’ technology upgrades for a further three Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) owned by Mantenimiento Express Marítimo SAPI de CV (“MEXMAR”), Seacor  Marine’s joint venture in Mexico. The contract follows the September 2017 contract for the same ground-breaking upgrade package on the Seacor Maya PSV, which was an important step taken by MEXMAR towards meeting the increasing industry demand to reduce the environmental footprint of offshore operations.

Hiab Switches to Dealer-based Distribution in Mexico

Hiab, part of Cargotec, and Consorcio Industrial Puebla S.A.P.I. de C.V. (CIPSA) have signed an agreement regarding a long-term distribution partnership in the Americas region. As a part of the transaction Hiab will sell its current sales company HIAB S.A de C.V. which employs 70 persons. Rafael Llamas will continue as the Managing Director of HIAB S.A. de C.V. in Mexico. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction which will follow on 29 December 2014. The transaction supports the implementation of the strategic business targets of Hiab to set the industry benchmark for customer satisfaction, improve profitability and grow faster than the market.

Mantenimiento Express Choose ABS Software for New Workboats

Mantenimiento Express Marítimo S.A.P.I de C.V., an Offshore Marine Services company that is part of SEACOR Holdings Inc., has signed a contract with ABS Nautical Systems for use of its Energy & Environmental Manager and Maintenance Manager modules on four newly-built workboats. The company did not have a current system in place and was in need of a solution to manage its fleet for better efficiency. After a successful implementation, Mantenimiento Express Marítimo will consider use of the software across its entire fleet. Mantenimiento Express Marítimo S.A.P.I de C.V. offers its services to PEMEX operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Sembcorp Marine's PPL Shipyard secures rig orders worth US$434-million to build two jack-up rigs for the Mexican market. PPL Shipyard has secured two turnkey contracts with a combined value of US$434 million for the construction of two units of jack-up rigs from Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro, S.A.P.I. de C.V. ("Oro Negro"). Iridium Teams Up to Supply Mexico

To accelerate growth in the Mexican market, Iridium Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: IRDM) announced it has signed three additional distribution partners in Mexico. These three new partners supplement the distribution channel for the new Iridium Mexico subsidiary (or Iridium Comunicaciones de Mexico S.A.P.I. de C.V.) that the company announced on October 21, 2009. Iridium Mexico is a joint venture between Iridium and Spacenet Communications Services de Mexico S.A. de C.V. (Spacenet). Iridium services are now available in Mexico through Spacenet, Astrum Comunicaciones, Intercomunicaciones Móviles Satelitales (INMOSAT), and Tecnologías de Control del Norte (TECNOR).
