£12m North Sea Contracts for Atlantic Offshore Rescue

Aberdeen-based standby vessel operator Atlantic Offshore Rescue (previously Sartor Offshore Rescue) has secured contracts in the last few weeks with major oil companies worth a combined £12million. The vessels will provide support in the UK North Sea for Shell, Nexen, Hess and Talisman Energy (UK) Limited. Atlantic Offshore has been in operation since 1995 and manages a fleet of nine emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs) and four platform supply vessels (PSVs) out of Aberdeen.

Kongsberg Completes K-Master FAT & Sea Trials for New PSV's

Kongsberg Maritime has successfully completed Factory Acceptance Tests for the K-Master aft bridge systems being delivered to two Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) built at Havyard in Leirvik for owner Sartor Offshore and Supply Service. The vessels are part of a four newbuild series, all featuring KONGSBERG K-Master, K-Pos Dynamic Positioning, C-Joy joystick control and K-Thrust thruster control. The FATs were for Havyard 103 and 106, vessels number 2 and 3 in the series and are due for delivery to the owner in Q1 2012.

Sartor Offshore Rescue, $52M in New Business

Aberdeen-based Sartor Offshore Rescue Ltd has won work with a total value of $52m in the first two months of the year to provide emergency rescue and recovery services in the North Sea. Among several new contracts is one to supply Total E&P UK Ltd with the Ocean Ness for up to 10 years, securing at least 30 jobs. The field support vessel will depart Aberdeen at the end of March for its 130 nautical miles (240 km) to Total’s Elgin and Franklin fields in the Central North Sea.
